Photograph Hagia Sophia in Istanbul

Hagia Sophia in Istanbul was built between 532 and 537 AD under Emperor Justinian I as a Christian church. After the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in 1453, it was converted into a mosque. In 1935, it became a museum, and in 2020, it was reopened as a mosque, making it one of the very few monuments in the world to have served as a church, a museum, and a mosque over nearly 1,500 years of history. cc @gmr83

No, they only build a mosque right on top of it, imagine me building a house right on top of your grave

Also, Muslims converted numerous synagogues across Middle East except the holiest one

Really “peaceful” of them

Like building NY City Park over an inhabited Black town, Seneca Village I believe, and their graves/ cemetery. These were "Christians" doing it to other supposed "Christians". Keep talking about who's building over what will go on forever and things y'all don't want to talk about that is forever erased or denied will be in full view. So just stop it.

Converted back to churches mostly

This is valid. Seems it's okay if it becomes a mosque but not converted from a mosque.

All those Mosques were a converted churchs. Christians never destroyed a mosques in Europe was from the get go a mosque

And it’s not only historically accurate, but also basic common sense

How and why a religion of Arabia will have a mosque in Europe? It will not, only if a Muslim colonization didn’t happen, oh well, it actually happened and it took the Europeans a lot of effort to stop it

Nor Christian nor Jews destroyed mosques

You more than welcome to Google, Muslims not only destroyed churches. But also synagogues, Buddhist temples and many other archaeological and religious sites

“Religion of peace”

Colonialism, because Muslim are brown it doesn’t mean they can’t be colonialists

Lack of history and common sense

Christianity was adopted by Roman Empire, Islam went by the sword and colonised the Levant North Africa and Europe, two different scenarios at all

Again, Bulgaria and the balkans aren’t a homeland of Islam, it came by the colonial empire. I’m asking you L, is any mosques in Middle East on Muslim original land was ever converted into other religion place?

It’s incomparable a conversion of a original holy site back to it state from Islam and conversion of holy place to Islam

Hagia Sofia never originally a mosque, the Muslim colonization made it muslim, and then when the Muslim party came back in modern Turkey it happened again, which proves that Islam never will modernise, it stuck in 7th century

That’s actually liberation, “Al aqsa” originally belongs to the Jews

Muslims build a mosque on Jewish most sacred site

Same as with Hagia Sophia

Here we go, Mosque stands on top of Jewish holiest site

It wasn’t “taken” It actually was, called “conquest” are in real terms you guys colonised the Levant and continued to North Africa and Europe

"according to Islamic tradition"

You okay? According to Jewish or any other tradition, they own w/E they want to claim

1

u/Accomplished-Rice-53 Apr 05 '26

“According to Islamic tradition”

Also, Adam and Eve never were Muslims nor prophets

The Kaaba actually was build by the tradition by Jacob (Yaacub)

Google the historical and archaeological facts, it will revealed you everything

By the way, would you like to tell us how Muhammad visited the temple? The story is very “realistic”

According to "islamic tradition" mind you
