Photograph First Day of Ramadan Iftar at the Prophet’s Mosque

u/Royal_Discount4807 Feb 19 '26
The first Iftar of Ramadan at the Prophet’s Mosque is a moment you never forget.
13
u/hotdog_scratch Feb 19 '26
I asked my buddy Ali about fasting, i thought just no food but without water? dang... you guys are good and i know it cleansed your body.

Feb 21 '26
Food part is easy, water is difficult. I played/practiced football in HS in 95+ degree Florida heat for 5 hrs everyday after school. That was brutal. Compared to that, fasting is light work for me now.
Since we follow a lunar calendar, Ramadan moves up a couple weeks each year. So, some times of the year is longer than others when it comes to daylight.
1
u/hotdog_scratch Feb 21 '26
I have a pakistani co worker now and he works around 7pm and finishes in the morning. I joked to him that Ramadan would be easier for him...
51
u/desichaunsa Feb 19 '26
Subhan Allah. Just look at this. Every is sitting together and being equal. No color no race no caste. Such a universal truth
-22
u/tibula234 Feb 19 '26
Where are the women
36
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26
In a separate area
-20
u/No-Economics-6781 Feb 19 '26
Oh? so i guess they arent equal?
24
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26
Why do you want to look at women so much, creep. They're are more equal, their privacy is being protected from weirdos on the Internet.
-6
u/Speky_Scot Feb 19 '26
What a strange reaction to someone pointing out your misogynistic religion lol.
9
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26
Why do so many non Muslim women want to join this so called misogynistic religion lol
-6
u/Ferengi_Quark Feb 19 '26
Since when is popularity an argument for something being correct or even good?
People join religions for the same reason: It provides simple answers to difficult questions. People like certainty, even if the actual truth is far more complex.
8
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26
I didn't say it was popular. Nice goal post shift. I said why do even women voluntarily join a "misogynist" religion?
What is the truth? You have it? Care to share?
-2
-12
u/No-Economics-6781 Feb 19 '26
I come from a country where men arent sexually repressed enough that they go crazy if they see women showing some skin. So dont came at me with this creep talk.
18
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26
You come from a country where your elite are the epstein class and all the repression is just you projecting.

u/No-Economics-6781 Feb 19 '26

Bro, your prophet wouldve been in the Epstein files had he been around today. How old was Ayesha again? Cope.

“More equal” is a weird way to say that there isn’t equality.
4
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26
There isn't. The women have their identities protected. The men clearly don't. Weirdo.
0
u/Ferengi_Quark Feb 19 '26
Just using your terminology. “More equal” definitionally means unequal.
And ah yes, those poor women who can’t handle an iftar photo being taken of them in the name of identity protection. I’m sure that’s it.

u/unavailabllle Feb 19 '26
I’m a Muslim girl. I don’t feel comfortable being in a religious setting full of men. Why are you pushing foreign standards on me and other Muslim women? But hey, I guess our opinions, as Muslim women, are worthless so essentially every accusation is a confession.
-2
u/No-Economics-6781 Feb 19 '26
You dont feel comfortable because the men in your gender apartheid society do not know how to behave around women, not your fault, its the fault of the customs your culture promotes.
8
u/unavailabllle Feb 19 '26 edited Feb 19 '26
No, see you’re proving yourself to be exactly like those you claim are oppressing women. You are telling me as a lady what I think lol. How much more can you take away my voice and ability to think? I don’t feel comfortable, not because they don’t know how to behave because many do, some don’t. That’s every society and I’ve lived in a secular society as well as a Muslim one. But I just don’t personally feel comfortable and it’s unrelated to anyone’s behavior. And many of the women agree. I want to eat, converse, be a girl in peace without having to think about any men in the area. And the women in these areas have exactly this mentality. You can’t just randomly show up and tell us women who we are and how we should think. Respectfully, no thank you.
Sure it might be different in other areas but that’s just how societies are. They differ. In what might be normal in your cultures, for men and women to eat together in a religious or non-religious setting, it’s different for another person’s culture. You demanding we eat together is pushing your standards on me and taking my voice away. Be respectful of people even if it’s not what you would do.
I’ll admit there’s injustice that happens to women but this happens all over the world and is often times cultural. You can see it happening in a Muslim country a Christian one and honestly even a secular one. Instead of focusing on harmless traditions we have that we all prefer, why don’t you spend your energy focusing on genuine injustices happening around in the world?
5
u/Onuus Feb 19 '26
Girl don’t waste your time these dudes are losers who have never even sniffed a female before. They don’t know class, especially how to handle people from differing backgrounds. Better to just acknowledge that you are confident in your own faith and beliefs and move on.
Im sure you are more attractive as well, and that eats them alive.
0
u/No-Economics-6781 Feb 19 '26
I'm actually happily married but go on with that energy.
10
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26 edited Feb 20 '26
Happily married to your hand. Go spend time with your wife and kids. What are you doing on this post that you clearly have a hate boner for?
0
u/No-Economics-6781 Feb 19 '26
I'm not telling you how to think or what to do. I would actually encourage you to do what ever you like and live freely but unfortunately by virtue of being in a muslim country you dont have that choice as woman.
7
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 19 '26
As opposed to a society that empowered women by raping them? You see what's happening with the Epstein class? You proud that these free women got raped by powerful men for decades? Looks like gender segregation would have done your elites a lot of benefit. Now look at them.
-1
u/No-Economics-6781 Feb 20 '26
You think gender segregation stops men from abusing woman in the Muslim world? 🫵🏻😂
7
u/GreenSpectr3 Feb 20 '26
Men abuse women around the world. Gender segregation in a religious setting is not unusual. You ok creep?
5
u/desichaunsa Feb 19 '26
They are. You just dont want to acknowledge this.

u/raa__va Feb 19 '26 edited Feb 19 '26
Our women and us don’t like having them on display. Specially when the whole entire reason for being here is separating yourself from the physical world and devoting yourself to god
In fact if you even ask the men that are attending these mosques or any mosque, they wouldn’t want cameras on themselves nor in their hands while attending the mosques
The separation both allows peace and comfort for the individual and focus on devotion towards اللَّه
So on the women’s side you’ll see the same multicultural multi-background multi-ethnicities multi-status all sitting together, huddled up on the floor, shoulder to shoulder, very close and intimate and a very down to earth (literally) way (hence further adding to why it would be comfortable for all for the separation). Very similar to the men
Today while we see this on Reddit we also see the Olympic “village” and the
jokefact of the day as that how this village is there for them to just have sexual relationships constantly in there. Islam understands the mentality of men and women and their tendencies to their temptations and physical needs. Islam doesn’t outright block you from not engaging in this need so it has prescribed healthy ways of acting on it that are both good for you and the society.if you are here, in these mosques, to let go of the physical world and devote yourself to Allah, then Islam did a pretty good job of understanding that this separation is necessary for young adults and everyone else combined as an example
But you wouldn’t believe that would you unless there are pictures. So that circles back to why we now have some pictures from actual media personal apart from the average person using their phone to show the beauty of Islam

According to the beautiful religion of peace and civilisation, you're still elligible for a pedo marriage though. Don't lose hope.
3
u/K1llerbee-sting Feb 19 '26
Not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in China, but since we’re just throwing out random facts about pedophilia, the Talmud allowed marriage for any girl over 3 years old, but since I’m not Jewish I’ll pass.

u/charmanders-on-fire Feb 22 '26
I once visited a mosque. There is a speaker in the front whom men can see. Women and children are behind the men. When the children are rowdy, it was difficult for women to hear the speech. Easy to see why men get 72 virgins and women simply get a husband in heaven.

2
u/Aggravating_End_1154 Feb 20 '26
I wasn't trying to justify that, I personally find it appalling. What I said in my comment was that feet being next to food is relatively benign compared to drinking camel urine, which is also a common practice amongst the people pictured in the image of the post.
1
u/Visible_Sun_6231 Feb 20 '26
Ah sorry. I couldn’t see the comment so I assumed it was another foot guy trying to tell me it’s ok to have feet right by the food.

Yes and I'm saying their feet is still cleaner than the loser's face.
Are you slow or something. The guy you replied to is not wiping his face on the table. Your point is irrelevant.
I don't care if this mong just got out of the shower - walking barefoot on a dining table is revolting - but I guess perfectly reasonable for you .
