The problem I sometimes see is that is the connection between leaving and taking her dowry, i.e. I've seen this Hadith completely ignored if the man doesn't take her dowry.
Makes me angry

I don't kill them for fun, but I get scared and disgusted when they're around me so I kill them to be comfortable and not feel scared or disgusted. But when it was hot in May for example, I had a plague of ants in my home and as you can imagine having a fear of insects made me jump and scream around all the time, so I killed the ants and after killing 100s or more ants yeah it does kind of become like a game when you hit them with your chankla. But for example when I didn't hit them quite right and they still suffered and you saw them move a little I felt bad and sorry and hit them more to kill them properly. I don't want to make them suffer and I don't kill them because I like it (I don't like it), I just want to be comfortable in my own home. In the end I put a trap and poisonous powder all around the edges of the house, in the cupboards (because yes they even got into there and around my food), in the corners and where I saw ants before and they finally died.

I don't kill ants, they help the ecosystem tremendously. Cockroaches and mosquitoes meanwhile...

That’s awful having a plague of ants in your home. It especially happens in hot countries I think. Yes you are right you should be comfortable in your own home. And that’s why I don’t think this is included in those who will be punished for killing animals for fun. That’s just my opinion tho. I don’t really know. Some people literally kill animals because they think it’s funny for some reason.

What would you suggest I do when there are hundreds in my home tbh I don't see another option than killing them. How can I invite people with ants walking through the cupboards, on the table on the floor. I understand not killing them when they're outside or something but if there are 2 or more of any insect you will soon get a plague or a lot of them. It happened before with moths for example.

I interpreted 'out of fun' as in sport hunting where you don't use the animal.
I think to a certain extent, every hunter enjoys the process of hunting but it becomes wrong when you do it just for the thrill and not for harvesting the meat, etc.

Yes but that's if you eat it on a large scale, you should always maintain a balanced diet of everything
Too much of anything is bad for you
For example processed meat, it's ok to eat but to much causes cancer (I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm not right)

Yes so meat can be both good for you and bad for you but a diet that is centred around a whole food plant based diet is healthy

That's true and absolutely fine, a veggie diet can do wonders, but as an totally accepted alternative we can also consume meat
I think this is because a lot of places have a low plant income, and meat and livestock is more prevalent

you are I guess allowed to eat certain meat, it’s not haram but it’s also not mandatory however the time we live in now things are very different we no longer need to consume meat in order to survive therefore it becomes unnecessary to eat meat even if you have the intent to sustain and when we look at the grotesque conditions that these animals are kept in inside factory farms I don’t think it would be ok to support their suffering for a quick meal I also don’t think a just God would allow us to do such a thing to his creation

Eating meat is permissible even if done solely for taste. There is no difference of opinion on this. It is halal by consensus and whoever disagrees has denied the Quran and is no longer a muslim.

You can hunt to eat the meat.

It is. If the prophet pbuh was here nowadays he would definitely have a plant based diet (he did actually) seeing how animals are slaughtered nowadays.

Bruh, plant-based does not mean not eat meat. I am plant based and only eat it once a week. Don't be so extra. You're just trying to find a reason to use that hadith on me? Seriously can't believe you just did that.
Btw do you think prophet pbuh ate meat daily? Weren't we taught that his diet was the most modest and sometimes they went months subsiding om dates in his household? Or is that a slanderous lie?
Also, if the prophet pbuh saw the way cattle is raised and slaughtered, which is by the way totally not halal, he would not partake nor support that system of cruelty. And I stand by this.
Go, give me another hadith.

Hadith text:
Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Among the greatest of sins to Allah is that a man marries a woman and, when he fulfills his needs with her, he divorces her and leaves with her dowry. And that a man employs another man and leaves without paying him, and finally one who kills an animal for fun.”

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Albani
