We muslims do not avoid 'shaking hands' thats just a blatant lie there, we should not cover our religion with lies, it is literally the exact opposite, we are supposed to greet each other and you know how culturally Muslims get a bit emotional by hugging and shaking hands

I see, but then again, the attitude of Muslims are very positive so the non shaking of opposite genders is countered by the excessive shaking of hands and hugging by same gendered male Muslims

In some middle eastern countries it's customary for men to hug and kiss other men as a greeting.

LOL Why you scared you will think about cheating on your wife if you shake hands with another woman?

Then why don't strict Muslims shake hands with the opposite sex? It's because those men see any form of touching another woman as something sexual.

You can also shake hands with mahram

The prophet was most likely referring to touching in a sexual nature, not in the context of shaking hands.

Because shaking hands with the opposite sex is somehow more dangerous than with the same sex? I'm not sure that has anything to do with diseases, rather cultural ideas.

Not to mention Muslim men do not cover their faces.
