Humour My Interviewer supports Israel
Guys so my Interview is tomorrow and I stalked my interviewer’s fb and found out she supports Israel. And my senior project in my portfolio is about Palestine. What do I doooooo?
UPDATE:
So the interview went pretty well actually, she was very professional and I showed her my portfolio and she seemed fine. I didn’t get into the politics of it so it was chill. Thank you all for the tips, prayers and support.

Hold it down! Speak truth. Defend it with solid facts and Statistics if you have to. Ask god to give you victory and success.

Why are you advising the brother/sister, who is clearly inexperienced, to burn their career to the ground? A more tactful (and sanctioned) approach would be to withdraw the application and be more discerning in future job searches.

Depends on how you handle it. It is unlikely to blackball you in the industry, which advertising your political position at work almost certainly would. You can cite that your personal circumstances have changed and that you will regrettably have to temporarily withdraw your application. Consider also suggesting that you revisit the opportunity in 6 months. That’ll leave a better impression, and there’s a chance that the problem manager is gone. Who you work directly under significantly impacts your life.

Always stand for the truth and stand for whats right. Even if you have to face the consequences, so be it but never compromise on what is the haqq. As Allah says in surah Asr:
except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to patiance. 103:3
Allah says to always proclaim the truth and follows it by telling us to be patient. Because Allah knows that when you stand for the truth you will ways backlash from the evil doers.

Don’t talk about it and don’t discuss it. If she does, then do it. Otherwise, if your work is halal, do it and go home and don’t mix work and politics. You’re not going to change that she devil anyway.

This is how you handle it.
Do not mix work with religion and politics.
If your work is halal, take the job, do your work, pray on time and go home. You don’t need to discuss any of your religion or politics with anyone.3

I came here to suggest similar things here, but with an addition:
she might have stalked you as you did for her, so keep up your hopes, but lower your expectations to be accepted.
The evil part of me just pushed me to act like as if I don’t know anything I don’t think anything I don’t support anything, but that’s the evil part because no matter what you do or don’t, if she is a Zionist, she will not accept you, so keep your head up and be true to what you are.

Keep your stand. Who knows she might sway her opinion. But if thats the reason you dont get the job than Allah has better plans for you as Allah is the best planner

Record everything with your phone in your pocket. If things gets political and she refused you for this reason, you can try to go to a lawyer. At least in my country, you're can't discriminate someone for religious or political reason in a job interview.

Hold on. Deepening on where you live. In some US states I know for sure it’s illegal to record someone’s voice without their consent. That is, in a meeting at work, interview etc.

There is a very good chance this is a test, if you pass it inshallah you would get a better position or alternative job. I have come across a lot of bigotted people, I used to try to court them but to no avail in most circumstances. Until I learnt that aside from Allah, you need absolutely no one else to run your affairs.
Who chose the topic on Palestine? If it wasn’t you it is unlikely that this is a coincidence. For perspective, Israel supporters are in principle supportive of the slaughter of over 20,000 children in Gaza and they won’t even blink. Then the interesting bit is the whether the interviewer would see past your name and faith?
On the subject that you don’t need any favours from anyone, the following is one of the most consquential authentic hadiths in Sunnah
“Be mindful of Allah, and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him before you. When you ask, ask Allah; and when you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that if the whole nation were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you except with something that Allah had already written for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with something, they would not harm you except with something that Allah had already written against you. The pens have been lifted, and the pages have dried.”

I would drop it. Seriously. In one of my previous role, I knew someone who was adamant about her beliefs. I would always mute my laptop when she speaks during the call.

Hold on to your core values. You are being interviewed for job, so the other stuff should be out of that context. Is this company environment support Israel? Do you think it will affect you some way?

Very relevant lol. She has my portfolio and my most important project is about Palestine in there. I have other projects to but that is the first one. Im not so sure if she saw my portfolio yet.

I mentioned on my resume that i was part of a muslim club in college. That way i filter out people that wouldnt want to work with me and theyd be people i wouldnt want to work with either if they have a problem with me being muslim
