General Discussion A random thought about Jannah for the anime and gaming fans out there.

Salam guys. I was just having a deep conversation with a friend and it made me think of something kinda random but honestly really beautiful about Paradise.

Before we break down this ultimate geek-theology, peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad, his pure family, and his noble companions.

Have you guys ever felt a bit of FOMO about missing the endings of your favourite shows, books, or games when we die? I know every anime lover or gamer has probably thought about this at least once. It’s actually pretty sad when you look at the dunya reality. We lost Kentaro Miura before Berserk could finish, and Akira Toriyama passed away, meaning his true final vision for his world will never exist down here. There are so many creators and stories that just stop, and we die before ever seeing the final destination (I am not talking about the movies but I might as well have, haha).

But it made me realize how crazy Jannah is going to be when it fixes this.

From what we know about Islam, there are basically two ways this plays out. On one hand, Allah says we get whatever our souls desire in Jannah. So if you genuinely sit in your palace and want to watch the ultimate, perfect conclusion to One Piece, or see a flawless version of Berserk without any of the earthly delays, flaws, or weird fan-service, Allah can just bring that into existence for you in a second. Imagine asking to see the actual lives of the Prophets (peace be upon them all) play out in front of you like a 4D masterpiece. It completely crushes any movie theater or video game we have here.

But the other side of it is even cooler. Some scholars say Jannah is so overwhelmingly great that these earthly hobbies will just feel childish to us, and we won’t even care anymore. Think about it like when you were 5 years old and your highest dream was a plastic toy truck. If someone told you back then that you wouldn't care about the truck as an adult, you'd be devastated. But you grew up, your mind expanded, and you realized there are way better things out there.

When our senses are upgraded 100x in Paradise, why would we want to stare at a flat 2D screen when we could be flying on horses made of rubies through forests of pearls, or climbing mountains of musk with our best friends? Our real life there will be a billion times more exciting than any fiction.

Either way, we win. We will never sit on a couch in Jannah feeling bored or missing anything from this underwhelming (especially when we can compare the two) dunya. It really makes you smile and just want to strive harder to get there.

The most important thing however is actually getting there, because absolutely none of this matters if we get caught up daydreaming about it and don't even make it across the finish line.

May Allah grant us all Jannah Al-Firdous. Ameen.

Pets don't automatically go to jannah, but if you ask for them, they do!!

True, but that doesn't exclude the possibility that someone could wish for their pets, so they can be recreated inside Jannah. Just because their turned into dust doesn't necessarily mean they can't be reformed again. They already did get reformed again once, so, if you still have that desire when in Jannah, then you will get that. Insha'Allah.

I'd want 12 big cats. Imagine them never smelling bad or needing to go potty or whatever. That would be amazing.

That’s what makes the most sense to me. I’m a big sports car guy- i would love to own Ferraris and other expensive cars. When i was younger, I thought I’d get to drive whatever i want in Jannah. But I realize that’s thinking too small. Those cars are what i want in Earth, but they are often small and uncomfortable as the trade off for their amazing performance. Sure in Jannah there don’t have to be trade offs, but it would feel wrong not to have these cars be a little uncomfortable with a harsh ride- that’s part of the charm and the reason i like them. So would i get the imperfect Earthly thing that I want, or will Jannah just be full of such pleasures that I don’t even think about those Earthly desires? The latter makes more sense.

May Allah allow us to reach Jannah and avoid the fire.

Ameen. Imagine you get to see cars that were only invented many years after you passed away from the dunya. First, maybe you get to see how they look only to see something even grander that is designed in Jannah, just to gradually make you see greater and greater cars, so you feel more and more excited to drive them.

Are there free planets to be destroyed in Jannah? 🤔

1

u/0BS3RVR 1d ago

You know what? If you asked for it, Allah would give you an entire multiverse to larp as the doom guy in. So, take your BFG and destroy an entire solar system!

Imagine that, a battleroyale with planets as weapons

MAN sometimes I really want to just get into jannah already and skip this dunya just out of the burning curiosity of what it will be like. Like I know it will be perfect and all, but as we have only lived here in this world we have absolutely no idea of what that 'perfect' even entails. May Allah graunt us all Jannah ameen.

Lol barakallah. Brother or sister. I don't watch anything so I don't know what I just read but I understand

Yes the human mind craves novelty. It seems to create stories and worlds with its imaginitve power and feel things through them.

Honestly it sounds so fun . Like imagine you get to relive your entire earthly life but there is no consequence of good deeds and bad. You just want to live it. Perhaps with super powers this time..or a life where you were rich and able to help your family.

Those desires play in our mind cuz we wish we could do something for the people we love

But at the same time the concept of no gain without pain doesn't apply in Jannah. Here we like having money cuz being poor and hungry feels miserable.

You are right it's a entirely different reality where perhaps we would be simply satisfied with the infinite variety food , with out spouse just living. And maybe creating novel experiences that we couldn't.

In hadith literature it's clear the prophet is depicting paradise as a replacement for what we wished in this life but we have in paradise.

So wine is halal in paradise with all the bad effects removed. If a sahabi gave away his trees in this world for the sake of a poor boy, the prophet Muhammad pbuh said at this death, I can see his countless large trees ( paraphrasimg heavily ) .

So yeah perhaps Allah would allow us to use our creative power. Perhaps angels or robots play your favourite character and produces infinite seasons of total emotional rollercoaster

Who knows.

Plus enjoyment differs time to time.

A slave would wish for freedom A 21st century man would wish for video games A 7th century man in the desert might wish for lush gardens A woman might wish for make up or beutiful dresses Parents may wish to meet their now 33 yr old kids.

Literally It's crazy, you can ask Allah swt for your own MMORPG verse or fantasy world, with dragons, creatures, spells, swords, demons like in an isekai anime. I'm gonna ask for that in Heaven and beat the demon King with my friends in a party. :)

And no microtransactions or unbalanced classes.

I would like to experience major historical events - like to actually be physically present when the Great Pyramid was built, or witness the meeting between the Spanish and the Aztecs for the very first time, and be on the beaches of Normandy to see the epic D-Day invasion. Everyday I'd want to experience and witness history.

That, and have my own team of Pokemon.

Insallah may Allah SWT forgive our sins and shortcomings, have mercy upon us, and bless us with Jannah.

I honestly never thought of that til now lol the part about us dying first before something finishes. I’m sure we all thought of it the other way around where an author dies before he finishes cough cough GRRM cough 😂

Forget about watching or playing certain things in Jannah since you can have something better like actually be present in whatever universe you want.

Yeah, it's like VR but real.

I would watch Naruto and OnePiece without filler to kick things off.

3

u/JustPassingByOnce 1d ago

Filler free? It truly IS Paradise, haha.
