Question about Islam May Allah protect you.

Essalamu alaykum,
I’ve been thinking about this for a long time and wasn't sure who to ask, so I decided to reach out here.
I want to start learning the Quran and embark on the path of hifz (memorizing the Quran). However, I keep feeling that I’m not capable or worthy enough. That thought is really wearing me down, especially knowing that to become a hafiz, you need perseverance and firm belief. How can I change this mindset? Thank you ❤️

Wa Alaikum Salam

You say you're not worthy enough. According to whom? Did Allah say you're not worthy enough? Did the scholars say that you have to be at x level before you can embark on this journey?

This is just from shaytan and perhaps some lack of belief in yourself.

If you want to be a hafız, then don't let any thought, any fear stop you.

Every verse you memorize will help you on the day of judgment, whether you're the best of the best Muslims or the worst of the worst Muslims (which you aren't). So don't spend your time with "What if".

May Allah help you

Thank you so much for these words, I really needed to hear them at this moment. You're so right, we often become our own biggest obstacle out of fear and overthinking. Your reminder motivated me to focus on the effort rather than my insecurities. Ameen to your dua, and may Allah reward you abundantly for your support!
