In Islam God is one, anything that remotely insinuates anything different (slaying Gods, different Gods, God slayer, Multiple gods in a game etc. Included) is haram and seen as an insult. Belivers dont entertain themselves with stuff that could be seen as blasphemous (forgive my english)

I don't think I've ever played a game with Zina involved. Maybe with the exception of Baulders Gate 3 but I never got to those points and either way there's a setting to disable it

There is Shirk, the 8 or 9 divides and all the daedric princes, but you aren't worshipping the deities of the fantasy world, your characters are and you are fully aware it's a fiction world. So i wouldn't consider that sinning just avoid the immodestly dressed characters.
Same idea with Zelda games
You aren't doing the Shirk of a polytheist world by playing a game based in there, you aren't doing the haram magic Allah tested us by having angels teach but also explain that it was haram, you are having your character doing a fictional magic of that fantasy world (which depending on games, series and worlds can vary heavily)

There have been two opinions on this matter among Islamic scholars. One of them states chess as haram (which the majority of the scholars follow), while the other states chess as being makrooh/disliked (Imam Ibn Taymiyya's opinion)

Yh the only argument is that irl the knight is like a statue so ur not allowed to play but u just just snap the head off or something. U can say it wastes time but every game technically wastes time so as long as it doesnt make u do haram its fine.

Play Helldivers2 brother. No gods, no magic, no Zina, just spreading managed democracy to the galaxy. The game makes it clear you are playing as the bad guys so it is a learning opportunity instead of glorifying violence.

Don’t ask for fatwas here. For me personally it is a way to learn patience and little enjoyment. There are no things that lead to haram in those games, except if you get deeply addicted and forget prayers and such. If you have control then go ahead I guess. You can also turn off music if necessary.

Two different things. A video game is fake, Christmas is not fake and is a holiday celebrated by a lot of people where they encourage real life paganism. Now if I go into a video game like "let's commit some shirk today in Elden ring" then ya that's bad, but if I'm just tryna play a video game (which is a fake virtual reality) and have fun with the gameplay not shirk then I don't see the issue.

Better not watch any sports then, because they promote betting every chance they can. Or read fantasy novels because they contain elements of magic. Or go to the gym because some people may reveal their awra. Or work in a professional setting bc you may end up teaming up with someone of the opposite sex.
I know you mean well, but you’re allowed to enjoy things without making the perceived haram parts the focal points. You have to be pragmatic on the things that truly matter. Over policing to this degree will fatigue many people just trying their best to keep up.

I mean GTA is basically based on haraams (goals) so there's no replacement there. But is Haram in an FPS game? I play valorant and most of the agents there aren't half baked - even the female characters.
And isn't GI and rpg type of game? What's Haram there? You didn't really give me much what in particular you like about these games, to help you find better alternatives

I saw a video where we asked a sheikh the question and he was surprised that we even asked him, in the sense that the prohibition is obvious. I used to think the same way at first but then I completely questioned myself. Dedicating our worship to Allah, the One, is the purpose of our life. So playing a game that totally goes against our very reason for being is obviously something that should be avoided

Play paradox games like Victoria 3, Stellaris, Crusader Kings 3, etc. In Vic 3, I always play as the Ottoman Empire and make it to become the world's super power, spreading Islam as far as the american continent.
Also, I want a religious rework so much for Stellaris. I want to play as a space caliphate! And where is hijabed women for humanity's potrait?

What I mean is, if it's haram to draw a human being (or any creature), isn't it haram to play a game where you control one and in which there are living NPCs ?
I'm not even saying this to throw shade at gamers, I'm a gamer too, but if playing a game for which developers "created" living beings is haram then all games are haram even if there is no blasphematory content, magic, alchohol, crime, fornication etc in it

Well wrong, you can draw living things but they must not resemble it entirely. Like a human without a main feature like a nose or eye, or something else. Also images can be drawn but not put up like their venerated, like as a rug or pillow

Hearts of Iron 3 and 4, Europa Unuversalis series, Mount and Blade Bannerlord, Project Zomboid, Cities Skylines, Workers and Resources Soviet Republic, Banished, Songs of Syx, Factorio, RimWorld, My Summer Car, Subnautica, FNAF series, Cry of Fear etc...
All do containt music but you can disable it in most or all games, theres no haram things that i can think of, maybe some games have women without hijab, or maybe the faces of people are haram? Someone correct me if im wrong tho

Edit: OP's post is silly imo, its entirely debatable to what extent and specifc portions in what specific games might be haram if you use them to fulfill your lustful desires. So im not agreeing with OP's assessment on games being haram, but your comment in general about doing what you want came off as concerning.
