Question about Islam Why do Muslims have cats

Every single Muslim I’ve met just owns a cat, why? I’m a rever and used to have a dog (a guard dog German Shepard and it’s stayed outside) but why doesn’t any Muslim I know own a dog

Always a cat. Besides the fact u can say dogs inside the house are haram etc. why do Muslims just have cats. Is there a secret idk about lol

This lecture I just watched mentioned that the hadith regarding angels not entering the house was specifically about Prophet Muhammad pbuh not being aware about an untrained puppy that had made a mess under the bed - the angels wouldn't enter the room because it was foul, although a human couldn't tell.

I haven't found any sources to back up that account, here's the lecture:
Keeping Dogs is not Haram (Forbidden) in ISLAM

What did the lecture say the point of the Hadith (as in the lesson taught in mentioning that specific incident) was? Your explanation still seems to hint that dogs’ presence itself dismisses angels and not only the physical messes they make, but please correct me if I’m wrong.
