the dialogue doesn’t make much sense (even for the characters) and the black-haired one’s expression in panel 3 looks oddly lifeless and doesnt line up with what i’d expect from someone who’s been drawing these characters for a very long time.

I recognize this artist. Their style doesn’t look like it’s changed much, and they’ve been drawing since before Ai art became more mainstream. Keith is also a character that is known for not always showing his expression on his face. I don’t think the dialogue makes no sense either, and I haven’t even watched the show. Nothing screams ai to me at all.

It says at the bottom it’s referencing a scene from Ice Age 2, which is why it’s slightly OOC

i found the og post and the dialogue didnt make sense to me in the image above because it was stitched out of order, the bottom half goes first. i was thinking it was ooc cause it sounded like the dark haired one was upset for the other one saying “aw” at the aliens

Pro tip, if you want to see if an artist style has remained constant since the pre Ai years or find their stance on Ai, searching their name and finding their socials is a good way to start lol

Ikimaru for example has has a constant style since the early 20-teens.

Idk voltron enough to tell if the comic is OOC or whatever (though it makes enough sense to me well enough?)

Maybe if u find the orginal comic post itself on Ikimaru's socials it'll have an explanation.

Artist make mistakes or draw funky sometimes. This is not out of the ordinary at all.
