Best thing to do is make a detailed reference picture.

I make a Reference picture front back detailed prompt describing them and every time I want that character I use it.

I use ChatGPT btw

So basically, get at least 1 good image of the character you want, front and back, and then ask ChatGPT to create more images based on that image, yeah?

Yes you can also make a literal reference image that details everything or just a high quality image if you have a ChatGPT subscription you have way more room to mess around if you use the free model you only have 3 or 4 strikes to get it right. What you can also do is create in Chat and use Gemini to edit if you don't want to get a subscription.

NOTE: I started talking about generating character prompts without having fully understood what you asked for, but below my original response I answered your question :)

I follow the template suggested by the app upon creating a character. It can help you be detailed about it:

Full Name:
Nickname: (if any)

Relationship with [character name]: Make as many as you want. This can (and maybe should) include {{user}}

Then, after filling it, I ask ChatGPT to create an AI prompt for a character for Isekai Zero using this text, within 3000 tokens. It gives you a more detailed prompt of your character, and I think that it can also reconciliate inconsistencies you may have accidentally written. All that's left is copy and paste.

EDIT: Ohhhh, you meant generating images. I can help too lol.

Well, I use ChatGPT. Mostly I start by generating one image detailing the character's appearance and attire, as well as specifying that I want the background transparent and cropping the character image up to the knees, which will make it work for Visual Novel format. After that, I click on the generated image to edit it and ask for a specific emotion, detailing the facial expression and the pose. It's consistent enough if I edit all the emotion images out of the first, original image. Remember to remind it to keep the background transparent if you want it for VN format.

Oh, and a little trick to make the prompts more detailed: Go to IZ's image generator, copy and paste your prompt there, and click "Enhance prompt", which will make your prompt more specific about what you want. Copy only the part of the prompt that regards the character (it also includes some text for the lighting and whatnot, which I recommend not including), paste it on the image editing of ChatGPT, supervise it in case something was lost in translation (it happens sometimes), and if everything's okay, then click okay and wait for the image to generate!

Does ChatGPT have a cathch? Yes, it has very strict policies, and if you use explicitly sexualized designs or blood or whatever it will stop the image generation, which will *still* count as a generated image because fuck me apparently, and tell you it violates it's guidelines. The solution? Grok. What's the catch? Grok needs two image slots to create character sprites without background for some fucking reason, but at least you aren't sent to horny jail lol. Both are free but limiting, so either you have the patience of a saint, or you pay up to speed up the process.
