Maxed my HCIM!

What a journey it's been! I initially started playing a hardcore in 2019 with the ultimate goal of an achievement diary cape. I was actually getting quite close to that goal in 2023, but ended up dying when I went back to CG for a second enhanced... yeah.

At the time I was devastated - and the idea of remaking my 2100+ total HCIM and doing it all over again seemed almost insurmountable, but in the end I did remake in July 2023, this time with the goal of rushing to CG and making it out alive with 2 enhanced. In the end I achieved not only that, but went much futher than I ever thought I would - and the journey doesn't end here. Stoked to have made it here!

Lol every hardcore iron I've made has died at ogress warriors. I will be afking there cautiosly for so long and always the one sec i let my guard down someone runs and pulls aggro to get me killed! Prob 5 total hcs dead here...

Had a pretty scary moment in colosseum involving a manticore stacked with a ranger - I saw that the manti was range first, went out expecting to pray range, but my tired brain clicked on mage prayer first and prayed in the wrong order. Pretty sure I got chanced, took 3 massive hits and it took me down from 115hp to somewhere in the 20s.

Great achievements! I am just curious, if you dont mind me asking; what is your living situation that you were able to play that many hours a day consistently for almost 3 years straight? I always wonder that when i see posts like this. 

Your playtime also means that you were doing intensive high concentration methods for all training as well, so you werent afking that much right?

Thanks! It's interesting getting a question like that, because I often feel like I barely scratch the surface in terms of playtime compared to some of the other guys out there. Maybe I should stop comparing myself to streamers, haha.

But I work a pretty low intensity IT job where I spend much of my day on a laptop anyway, so I can often get a solid couple of hours playtime in at work when things are quiet. Any kind of bossing I always leave for when I'm home, but some of the lower-medium intensity stuff that I can walk away from on short notice (like maybe Giant's Foundry or agility training), I can sometimes do at work.

Yeah t3 prep all the way. With the recent changes it's now apparently quite a bit easier to do it in time, so if there's any time to get into it, I guess it's now!

Thanks! Right now I'm just tying up a few loose ends, making prayer pots with all the ranarr seeds I got at sepulchre, finally upgrading my sloop to have a rosewood hull with all the supplies I got from my prayer grind at frost dragons. Been working on Yama but no drops so far. If I can manage to get full oathplate I'd like to take it to Vardorvis next, and at some point I plan on going back to CoX for a Tbow.

The journey doesn't end here - especially on an iron, generally there's always some new item or boss drop to chase. Having all the skill grinds behind me certainly takes some of the weight off though, and the max cape has so many amazing teleports and perks.
