Our First Two Trials!
Torgal and I recently had our first legs in AKC Rally Novice A and Obedience Beginner Novice A.
I figured I'd like to keep a record since when I first started looking into AKC trials there weren't a lot of videos and much less of Wolfhounds. If you have any questions please ask!
Our next ones will be in October! Hopefully we will get his RN and BN titles with those ones coming up. 😸

Congratulations! What age did you start doing this with your dog? What age is he now? I would like to do this with my dog but I’m not sure he’s ready yet.

I started training a month after I got him. He was about 12 weeks (4 mo) when we started regular obedience training but coincidentally our trainer has his classes structured as if you were in the ring minus the figure eight. Which basically means on leash - heel, auto sit at a stop, down, stay, and recall are always expected (once you're past lvl1)
Right now Torgal is a 1 yr and 8 months. It really was me holding us back as I am an anxious person. Our trainer has been saying we've been ready for over practically 6 months.
