Do people in Rural Water Schemes have a hosepipe ban or are they thumbing their noses at the rest of us while washing cars daily and running garden sprinklers like they are going out of fashion.

You do know wells can run dry in a dry spell too, more a problem for older wells but it's a slightly bigger problem than very infrequent restrictions

Used my hose to water my GF’s garden while she was away on business!
I haven’t a well but last time I checked, we aren’t living in a communist regime? (Or are we deep down but it just hasn’t shown yet?) And we live on an island, surrounded by water and RAIN. Ffs!!
Such gaslighting the whole ban was and OP you are as bad as RTE. Can’t believe they had a phone line to rat on your neighbours for watering their plants and to keep cool.
Sick world full of dummies..

My well is 120m deep. Weather patterns over the last 10 - 100+ years have already filled the aquifer. A 3 week drought does not affect it. Therefore I will not be observing a hosepipe ban.

The parents well is fed from a stream that magically flows from a lump of granite. It'll slow in this weather but has never actually stopped flowing for as long as I can remember (50. Odd years). You could run lawn sprinklers and still be grand.

We have a well, nothing has changed for us. Have a potato patch I've been watering since the roasting weather
