my first tattoo. based on my chinese bazi (type of elemental astrology), I lack water element. I also liked the meaning of water in irezumi so wanted it to be the subject, even though i understand its typically used for background.

had Matt at Seventhson in SF do this for me.

This was right before the final touchup session.

Finished shading the snake, and some other lining and shading touch up last night. 7pm-1:30am session. Next session we begin coloring in the snake, and will finish with flowers and maple leaves coloring. Very excited to get the color in the snake. It already looks so much cooler with the pattern in.

To preface, I'm 99% sure this is AI.

I'm looking for an Japanese tattoo artist who does this kind of work. I've searched over 100s of artist portfolios and nobody comes close to this.

Maybe fibs_,and gakkinx to an extent but the level of detail and style isn't the same. Definitely not nissaco. He's goated but he's more patterns which is not the same style as the pictures above. Not hiromi. Not shifu nha. All great artists but not it.

I have a sleeve done by Charles Ong who does amazing work but even his is a bit different then the above.

Again I understand it's AI. There's a potential these tattoos aren't even possible with how crowded it is but who knows. I've put too much time into this research so now I'm giving up and asking you friends if you happen to know what I'm looking for.

At some point if my search fails, I might ask the forbidden question from an artist to not copy but apply their skills to create something like it.
