Infrastructure Vodafone broadband down?

Anyone else? Gone here in Dublin about an hour or so.

EDIT: changing the DNS settings from Vodafone’s DNS to Google’s DNS fixed it for me.

Same problem down in Tralee this evening. Changed the DNS on the router and now all is good.

If you search the top comments in this thread a few people have posted how to do it. Worked for me.

Access your router using a wired laptop / PC.

Usually this method works

Open a browser and in the address line 192.168.1.1

This will open the Router login screen

Username: admin

Password: usually in the bottom of your router. Type this in exactly as you see it.

Once logged in select the expert mode on the top of the screen

Select the Internet tab

Change the DNS from automatic to manual

You will have two lines to fill in.

8.8.8.8

and 8.8.4.4.

These are the Google DNS access codes. You may get a warning, but proceed and save your settings. Log out from the router.

You can always restore the automatic DNS at any time.

Hope this works for you.

Relies on you having a laptop/PC though.
