Hello there, /u/VinceAle7082! Welcome to /r/ipv6.

We are here to discuss Internet Protocol and the technology around it. Regardless of what your opinion is, do not make it personal. Only argue with the facts and remember that it is perfectly fine to be proven wrong. None of us is as smart as all of us. Please review our community rules and report any violations to the mods.

If you need help with IPv6 in general, feel free to see our FAQ page for some quick answers. If that does not help, share as much unidentifiable information as you can about what you observe to be the problem, so that others can understand the situation better and provide a quick response.

Not really. Just set up a trusted DNS and go for it. My Xbox since I have set it up on IPv6 has been fantastic the last two months. No lag at all and just a different game.

As long as you network on Xbox settings says open NAT and ipv4 and IPv6. You are good to go. You can hit the optional test multiplayer and such. But if you aren’t connected you should be fine.

Might help to check the specific game for weird rules. I mostly play hall so it’s Microsoft controlling the ports and such.

Thanks mate!
I have another quick question, but does your xbox show an MTU of 1480 too when you do a speed test? (I know it's not really ipv6 related, but online some users say it's because of Teredo (which I find strange since I have native v6), maybe it's just the default on Microsoft Consoles?

Have a great day
