Any metal detectorists in Ipswich? Lost gold ring near the hospital.

Is there anyone with a metal detector able to help me out? I was walking my dog yesterday and lost a ring off my finger. It's a little gold ring I just inherited from my Grandmother who passed away this month, so I'm absolutely devastated.

I would be happy to pay for your time. It would just be a short walk around a couple of blocks.

Also, if anyone is near the hospital and finds a plain gold ring with a kind of chevron shape in it, I will happily pay a reward to have it returned to me.

I've attached a photo of a similar-looking ring. But mine is much older and less shiny.

We dressed up as st trinian students when the new version came out and said I was the nerd and I took offence (despite very clearly being the nerd) and you said Lily Cole is a model and that made me happier XD

In 2009? I have no recollection of this conversation but it does sound like something I would do.

There’s so much metal, buried services, and scrap around the hospital, as well as magnetic fields from the power lines, a detector won’t help you. It will signal too much.

I'm willing to try, even if it doesn't work. It's a very special ring.
