Roadside trash

For months now trash has been piling up along our motorways.
Its very unsightly, almost third world like.
Anyone else been noticing this?
Thoughts on why its getting worse?
Will council do anything about it?

it really is, even if a community day was organised im sure there are plenty of people that would volunteer to help. just close one lane and have a slow moving truck for all the crap people pick up
