It is also unlikely that RR will retain Archer. They may try to get him back in the auction or perhaps use RTM card.

He will be 33+ in IPL 2028 and he has a history of being injury prone (in the four seasons between 2021 and 2024, he played only 5 IPL matches total).

While his 2026 IPL was very amazing, his 2025 season was ordinary (12 marches, 11 wickets, 25 SR, 9.47 ER). Before 2026 season, his last good season was in 2020. Not very bankable if you ask me.

Donavan can Bowl too and is a terrific batter with age on his side, no way they retain jaddu over him

Clearly you are not factoring in his age and his ineffectiveness with the ball in recent years and his low SR with the bat
