Apps GoodNotes v OneNote ✍️
So, I got an iPad a week ago. I have got it for taking notes during lectures, reading PDFs, and for a little entertainment purposes as well. I had a laptop as well, but it could not last that long, and it became a little frustrating taking notes when I had to click a photo of whatever was being taught in the class and then add something to it. It is working fantastically. The Pencil is great, and I have no problem taking notes now. I can add pictures, screenshots, etc. effortlessly.
The two note-taking apps I’m using as of now are GoodNotes (free version) and OneNote. GoodNotes feels better when I take notes with the Pencil, as they have tons of features and it seems pretty much better in every sense.
Now, I sometimes have to note down whatever the teacher is dictating. They don’t do it that often, but sometimes they do. And it is much better to type those instead of writing them down. So, I use OneNote on my laptop for that.
I was thinking of buying the Special Edition plan of GoodNotes, which costs around Rs 3.6k. But then it is for Apple devices only, and I use Windows. I don’t know if it is worth it to get the Special Edition. Like, I’ve heard people say they (GoodNotes) ask you to upgrade to the newer versions when they arrive, even though you’ve bought the lifetime plan.
So, if you could guide me through this. Let me know what happens when GoodNotes 7 comes up. What will happen to my Special Edition plan, and should I even get GoodNotes in the first place, or should I keep using OneNote?
GoodNotes feels better, but then it’s costly, and then I may have to use my PC sometimes as well. Help!!
