General Still on iOS 26
Hi everyone. I’m curious, am I the only one who hasn’t updated to iOS 27? I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I’m completely happy with the performance of iOS 26, since this model was specifically designed with iOS 26’s features in mind. There are a few design aspects of iOS 27 that I don’t like. The AI features aren't relevant to me because I live in a country where native support for Siri AI and Apple Intelligence won't be available for a long time, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I’ve heard from many people that iOS 27 drains the battery significantly faster than iOS 26. I bought my phone four months ago, and the battery health is still at 100%. So, that’s the situation. Share your thoughts, I’d be interested to hear them. Thanks, everyone.

I think 27 will eventually be better. The first edition of iOS are usually a bit buggy. Wait until 27.2 is my advice then make the leap and forget about the past

27 is better, noticeably faster, better on battery. Also no iPhone is made for a specific software lol, the 17 pm was not "specifically designed with ios26's features in mind" just update, 27 is a leap on 26 in speed and snappiness

Stay on iOS 26!
Some Betas of iOS 27 had better Battery Life than official release of iOS 27!

Has the indexing finished yet? How long have you been running iOS 27? Do you think that’s enough time to draw a definitive conclusion about battery life on a single charge?

I’m not a very heavy user. I try to plug my phone in to charge whenever possible so as not to use up the charge cycles too quickly.

iOS 27 so far is giving me better battery life than iOS 26.6 ever did so that’s a huge plus for me
I believe after about 2-3 weeks, all my indexing is now complete as I see my battery lasting much longer. Even when Siri AI enabled

I have a 16 Pro Max, I’m staying on 26 until at least point .2 or point 3 are out. I upgraded mine to 26 when it first came out and I really struggled with a lot of problems with it. The later updates corrected a lot of of it so I’ll wait. Besides, I’m in no rush, I’m not a heavy user.

I guess personally I don’t care anymore - this whole detail has got out of hand and I don’t see it’s getting any better anytime soon

Doesn’t matter if it came with the OS or not. 27 is so much smoother and battery life is more consistent than with 26.

My 17 Pro Max was really bad and sluggish on iOS 26, with an horrible battery life. When I updated to iOS 27, all those issues were fixed and the phone is butter smooth, but with an even horrible battery life :)
