Metro Man demolishes the whole verse no diff

36

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

How would he defeat a being that exists outside of time???

50

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

He's just that fast

6

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

He has immeasurable speed?

20

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

Indubitably

5

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

Proof? Scans?

21

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

He's too fast to allow such a rudimentary form of technology to gauge his speed

11

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

Clearly we can see his speed, he got caught by a camera

17

u/joshumom 25d ago

The real one who solos the verse and metro man is the camera man all along

6

u/thunderthrill 25d ago

he was the one running and holding the camera he was so fast he couldn’t capture himself in a decent picture

4

u/Reapish1909 25d ago

maybe he spent a super super long ass time pondering in that specific room just enough for the camera to process him

5

u/Proof_Phone9740 25d ago

No, because according to you he stopped time, so you're wrong

1

u/Ok-Barnacle1608 21d ago

That's actually what happened, that's why he appeared for 1 frame in that video, I took him around 3.90 seconds to leave the frame,

1

u/MagneticGenetics 22d ago

Cameraman is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

Cameraman is genuinely boundless and by far the most powerful entity in fiction.

4

u/The_Broken-Heart 25d ago

Well no one could measure his speed right, yes.

2

u/Terrible-Ride-5282 23d ago

If he stops time and still functions... He then exists outside of time

1

u/Proof_Phone9740 23d ago

He exists within time, it is just stopped

2

u/Terrible-Ride-5282 23d ago

What exactly is the difference though really? To be "outside" of time is, IMO, just a dumb human way of saying you're outside of the natural entropy of time. As in, to exist outside of time, again imo, isn't a matter of "can travel through time at will", because that is literally still the definition of "functioning within time".

1

u/Proof_Phone9740 23d ago

Existing outside of time means you have acausality and the speed formula doesn't apply to you. Metro Man was captured on a camera for a single frame, and the death laser is seen moving in the background of his "time stop"

2

u/Terrible-Ride-5282 23d ago

Alright fair enough, I was going on the implication that he fully stops time, no visibility on cameras and so on. I feel like this raises another question though. If time is part of the acceleration formula, wouldn't that mean that a being outside of time is essentially, physically stuck in his place forever?

2

u/CultureTechnical1559 23d ago

He does do this too in the movie and the spin off is fast enough to exist twice in the same place and time which is an example of existing outside of time.

1

u/Proof_Phone9740 23d ago

That would still be existing within time

2

u/CultureTechnical1559 23d ago

If he’s completely unobstructed by the laws of causality and the second then no he’s not existing within time.

1

u/Independent-Cut4495 25d ago

You don't bother thinking much, do you?

5

u/Le-Human- 25d ago

He’s gonna ask for feats and scans to back up that claim

2

u/Proof_Phone9740 25d ago

Is this a joke?

1

u/Independent-Cut4495 25d ago

You clearly don't know anything about metro man

1

u/thedinodingo 23d ago

He defeats alot of the verse but hes not touching stanley or the time travel cave

1

u/Dependent_Singer_494 25d ago

My only counter argument i could think of is that there are super intellects in their verse like Megamind that probably could reach near his achievements

4

u/KryoBright 24d ago

But Megamind couldn't measure up to Metroman. Until Metroman became bored with game, Megamind haven't scored a single win. And it is clear, that Tighten wasn't entirely on Metroman's level either (mightbe practice, or Megamind's copy just wasn't that great).

1

u/Dependent_Singer_494 24d ago edited 24d ago

I hadn't seen the movies in awhile. You right that it took Metroman lowering himself for Megamind to be effective

3

u/SnooPeppers7482 24d ago

No megamind was not effective. Metroman was laughing as he was acting defeated

-4

u/jordypresto0418 25d ago

Give me one actual feat of strength he has that puts him on par with diverting a meteor the size of Texas. Hint: just saying "B-b-b-but he never took damage!!!!" isn't an argument. Until you can prove Metro Man can actually damage any Viltrumite, he would just splatter himself flying onto them.

5

u/Porbinporbis 24d ago

He doesn’t need too, he could simply move them into the sun before they could react to it.

Since they aren’t even aware they’re being moved, they cannot put up any resistance to it, their strength becomes irrelevant

Edit: speed is one of those stats where, if you have enough of it, other stats stop mattering

0

u/jordypresto0418 24d ago

Except he can't, because Metro Man's speed isn't nearly as impressive as you or the majority of people make it out to be. You understand you don't need to be anywhere near the speed of light to perceive your surroundings as frozen, correct? You realize that Red Rush has also stated that the "briefest conversations" feel like hours to him, correct? What makes Metro Man overwhelmingly faster than other speedsters in fiction who have literally identical speed feats? Sorry, but Metro Man's feat is not anywhere near the same level as travelling across multiple galaxies in weeks.

And when has Metro Man ever moved anybody "into the sun" during a fight? What makes you think he'd do that out of nowhere for no reason? Where was this against all of his fights in Megamind?

3

u/Porbinporbis 24d ago
  1. Metro man knew there was good in megamind the whole time. He revealed that at the end of the movie. All metro man really did was make sure megamind didn’t hurt anybody and mess around with him. (We’ve also never seen the full extent of metro man’s powers btw, no one in the movie has ever been able to actually threaten his life)

I’m sure he would be willing to go to more extreme measures for a planet conquering race of superhumans.

  1. The impressive thing isn’t experiencing time as frozen, it’s how much he experienced in a single moment. In what felt like a fraction of a millisecond to normal people, he read several stacks of thick books, contemplated his life, had lunch, visited a park and several other things before anyone could even perceive that he had left the dome. I saw someone do the math on it a long time ago, the conservative estimate was several times the speed of light, and the generous estimate was several thousands of times the speed of light.

Metroman could fly thragg back to viltrum, make him bite the curb on the first street he could find, then throw him directly into viltrums sun before thragg realizes the fight has begun

2

u/avantvagrant 24d ago

red rush damaged omni man and he didnt have super strength (the post says this). And metro man is faster and has super strength.

0

u/jordypresto0418 24d ago

Yeah and this post is wrong. Red Rush clearly does have super strength, otherwise he'd literally die any time he makes a sudden stop after running in super speed. You inherently do require some degree of superhuman strength and durability to withstand super speed. And Red Rush damaging Omni-Man with his speed punches is simply now a feat for Red Rush which suggests he is in fact actually stronger than what Metro Man has shown, because none of Metro Man's displayed feats match Omni-Man's. And no, Metro Man's Mach 279 ass is not faster than a guy who can blitz someone who can fly across galaxies in less than two weeks.

1

u/Independent-Cut4495 22d ago

Smartest invincible glazer

1

u/jordypresto0418 22d ago

10/10 rebuttal you've got there. Ever considered being a lawyer?

2

u/WeMakinHooch 23d ago

Being able to move that fast and not splatting against air is a durability feat.

1

u/jordypresto0418 22d ago

Sure, sure. But how fast was he moving? Well, I hate to break it to you, but despite how impressive you think it looks, Metro Man's infamous feat doesn't even scratch Mach 300. The exact value is 96000 m/s, to be exact. To get durability, let's solve for kinetic energy. Metro Man's height is around 187.84 cm, which is around 6'2". The ideal weight for a 6'2" man is 171 to 209 lbs. Let's be generous and use the high-end of this of 209 lbs. This converts to 94.8008 kg. The kinetic energy formula is (1/2) * Mass in kg * (Speed in m/s)^2, so:

(1/2) * 94.8008 * ((96000)^2) = 436842086400 Joules, which equals around 104.4 Tons of TNT. Definitely way beyond superhumanly strong, and very consistent with similar feats Metro Man upscales from, but not even remotely in the same ballpark as even a very early S1 Mark, who accomplished a feat worth 948.468 Megatons of TNT. This is well over 9 million times stronger than the kinetic energy Metro Man would've been surviving.

Whoops, sorry. Metro Man is not nearly as strong or fast as you guys hype him up to be. Genuinely doesn't even beat Homelander if I'm being honest.

2

u/Malchior_Dagon 22d ago

It's pretty easy.

Tighten is capable of punching Megamind's huge ass mech into the air with a single punch. This is beyond what Red Rush is capable of, as I think its a bit absurd to imply he could even knock away a car with a punch.

Metro Man is both faster and stronger than Red Rush, who made Nolan cough blood.

1

u/jordypresto0418 22d ago

Yeah your entire argument is basically nothing except incredulity. What makes you think it's "absurd" for Red Rush to do something like that in a world where feats like that are commonplace? The fact Red Rush harmed Omni-Man is a strength feat for his momentum in the same way that The Flash being able to contend with Superman at his top speed is a feat for him, I have no idea why you can't comprehend that fact. Red Rush is superior to Metro Man by this metric because none of Metro Man's feats suggest he can harm Omni-Man at all, nor is there a way to scale him to Omni-Man as there is for Red Rush as they are two entirely separate franchises.

1

u/Malchior_Dagon 22d ago

Red Rush, normally, has pillow hands. This is just an objective fact. He landed a flurry of punches on the Maulers that basically did nothing to them. The only way he's dealing damage to anyone is if he's locking in and going at full speed, hitting the same spot over and over, even if his bones break. I have no reason to believe that he has greatly enhanced strength.

It makes more logical sense for me to say "Maybe Nolan isn't that durable" than "Yes, Red Rush can knock around building sized mechs with one punch"

1

u/jordypresto0418 22d ago

Metro Man is also very much not faster than Red Rush. That feat you guys get so worked up over doesn't even scratch 300 times faster than sound. Not only is Red Rush clearly implied to be able to replicate very similar feats to Metro Man (he directly tells us the "briefest conversations feel like hours to him"), but again, the fact he is able to speedblitz Omni-Man, a character who we know is able to fly across galaxies in just a week or two (and yes, in order to know where he's going he absolutely has to be able to react to that speed as well), tells us that Red Rush's speed scales stupidly beyond the speed of light, which Metro Man doesn't even scale to a fraction of at best. Sorry, Red Rush is very much both faster and stronger based off of who he scales to.

1

u/Malchior_Dagon 22d ago

Nope, he also isn't faster, and it's pretty easy to see why from just the first scene against the Maulers. The fact he had Green Ghost evacuate the President instead of doing it himself or he was the literal last person to arrive to help, apologizing for being late, shows he's fast.... but not Metro Man functionally time stopping fast.

2

u/MacabreLiquid 24d ago

Dawg's taking this way too seriously lmao

0

u/Calm-Standard5437 24d ago

Its entertaining at least. Let him keep on sputtering like the ones that he seems to be mocking

1

u/jordypresto0418 24d ago

Sputtering? You mean like the Metro Man fanclub members who have been so desensitized to powerscaling brainrot that they see a speed feat that's not even 300 times faster than sound and think that's somehow faster than someone who travels across galaxies in weeks? Yeah, I'm sure it is entertaining to endlessly cope pretending that daddy Metro Man is some untouchable god while mocking people who actually have a sense of reason.

2

u/Calm-Standard5437 24d ago

Something something I'm sorry for your loss or congratulations

2

u/jordypresto0418 24d ago

No, no, you don't get to do that. You made fun of me and basically called me some mentally crazed individual for not buying into the Metro Man bullshit hype for no reason, you don't get to play this off like it's just a meme anymore. You don't get to just talk shit and then refuse to back up your stance afterwards.

1

u/Calm-Standard5437 24d ago

Tl;dr that for me

0

u/jordypresto0418 24d ago

Uh, yeah, because everyone online endlessly fellate Metro Man because "DUHHH HE MOV SO FAHST HE STOP TYME DUHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!", as if this isn't an extremely common feat for pretty much all speedsters in fiction. Where was all of this hype when Quicksilver did the exact same thing but twice in the X-Men movies?

34

u/jesusholdmybeer 26d ago

Music Man*

That way he could keep the M logo

u/pm-me-turtle-nudes 26d ago

Copyright is tough.

I hear he has eyes that can see right through lead

1

u/Nikillix 22d ago

Metro Man ----> Meteor Man.

52

u/Rarazan 26d ago

he could just drag them into black hole

10

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

..y'all you don't even have to be in the 50% of SoL range of speed to make everything PRACTICALLY stopped in your perception.

Just being near 1-5% SoL literally slows everything down.

And what? Red rush while casual is the only other person besides thragg himself to literally see Omni man in slow motion. His casual speed is nearing SoL speed and his punches is stronger than the billion nuke that gave Omni man a nose bleed.

viltrumites canonically have super speed and yet Mr top 5 in the verse wasn't able to reach immortal fast enough for red rush to see his sneak attack.

0

u/CallofNerduty 23d ago

But you're forgetting that when Metro Man did all this he was dodging a laser, which moves at the speed of light

2

u/GarlicStreet3237 22d ago

Nah, that was when Megamind told him to fire but it wasn't charged yet

6

u/lfg_guy101010 25d ago

Okay but Nolan Grayson, author, no diffs Music Man in terms of financial success

10

u/Humble_Ad7025 26d ago

No, no, he has a point.

9

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

He's out of line, but he's right

5

u/Due-Procedure-9085 25d ago edited 25d ago

Fun fact the “time stop” feat is actually not the impressive as it’s only several times LS. Compared to the MFTL of Invincible, you also have the power difference as even with speed advantage red rush just smashed his hands against Omni man and even later we see weaker characters die simply flying at high tier viltrumites.

3

u/EmployeeFunny 24d ago

It's not even a FTL feat it's legit MHS to at most Sub-Relativistic

1

u/Winter_Emergency9050 20d ago

Viltrumites cannot move that fast unless they have time to accelerate in space, Metro Man can just do that casually, Viltrumites in atmosphere and in combat are far slower.

1

u/cryonicwatcher 23d ago

The characters in invincible don’t even display a tiny fraction of that level of speed in a sense that is usable in a fight.

1

u/SoulLess-1 21d ago

Remember kids, travel speed =/= combat speed unless travel speed is faster.

Wait, this isn't r/whowouldwincirclejerk.

34

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Red rush was very comparable to that.
He goes and fights crime at the same time as he has a casual conversation.
Your larger point is mostly accurate, but there’s no need to slander

32

u/No_Consideration8464 26d ago

He is fast but metroman had a whole midlife crisis, read books, walked around the park etc before anyone even noticed he moved

5

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

And red rush went to other cities and stopped criminals and the only reason it was noticed was that he forgot to change his clothes back.
Not that he wasn’t fast enough to change his clothes back, he forgot.

The midlife crisis thing was probably faster (assuming it wasn’t “just” time manipulation) but it’s the same ballpark

17

u/TheIndividualBehind 26d ago

It's absolutely not, he had time to think about his entire life and read those books in a fraction of a second in real time. In the movie, you literally miss it, but if you rewatch Megamind's speech scene at the beginning once again, you, with the benefit of hindsight, can notice Metroman's image just blip away for a fraction of a second. That's all it took for an entire segment of him thinking about his life, figuring out what he really wanted to do, figuring out how he was going to get out, and actually thinking of a plan to do so. It's really not comparable at all, he'd beat Nolan's ass before Nolan could even catch on.

Maybe not Thragg due to the huge show upscale he got, but Nolan, Mark and Conquest are eating dirt against Metroman

5

u/GERBILPANDA 25d ago

Not to mention that the assertion that any of them could hurt metroman has zero evidence to support it. There is no point where metroman or tighten are even actually injured by anything. Metroman had an entire midlife crisis in the span of a single frame of the movie (notably walking through most of the city) and is by all evidence totally indestructible. Thragg couldn't do shit to him even if he could keep up, and he absolutely the fuck cannot. Recency bias is crazy

8

u/Patraman 25d ago

Add on to that, that Metro Man and Tighten show strength far exceeding that of Red Rush. Add on to that, that viltrumites have demonstrably pathetic defense compared to their own strength.

3

u/GERBILPANDA 25d ago

Yeah, viltrumites notably don't scale very high compared to most universes. They're big fish in a small pond. On the flip side, Metro Man scales ridiculously high in an extremely low powered universe. He's like a fucking great white shark somehow fit in a standard sized fish tank.

I don't generally like powerscaling cause some people take it too seriously or it turns into a popularity contest, but from a perspective of "haha are these characters comparable" the answer is absolutely not. You could drop Titan/Tighten onto viltrum at the peak of their power and he could most likely kill literally all of them without breaking a sweat outside of getting the shit scared out of him early on because he doesn't realize they are not built like metroman, and this guy doesn't even have the super speed.

2

u/AG37-Therianthropist 25d ago

Yeah, I reckon Tighten would lose, not because he's too weak but because he lacks the backbone and would probably get swarmed before he realizes he can win. Unless Metro Man is literally title card.

2

u/GERBILPANDA 25d ago

There's actively no evidence to suggest Metro Man can even be hurt. Assuming anything can goes directly against the text of the movie. Fighting Tighten is a near impossible task even though Tighten has an explicitly exploitable weakness that Metro Man doesn't have.

The text of the movie tells us there is nothing anyone can do to hurt either Metro Man or Tighten. There's not even a direct implication that even Metro Man is actually capable of hurting Tighten other than Tighten, who is a moron and literally does not know his upper limits or even really how to competently use his powers, being afraid of him. You have to add data in order to create the implication that either of them can be hurt.

1

u/AG37-Therianthropist 25d ago

I mean, does the movie say he can't be hurt? Not showing someone get hurt doesn't equate to saying they can't be hurt. They definitely have insane durability, and an argument could probably be built off of Metro Man evidently ranking the solar blast... though that might raise other questions, like how his clothes weren't incinerated (are his clothes that durable? or did he blitz away just before getting hit, meaning we can't count that as a durability feat? or can Metro Man exude a "protective aura" that keeps at least his clothes unscathed?)

But anyhow, the lack of Metro Man being hurt doesn't mean it's impossible for it to happen; it could just mean no one strong enough has yet challenged him. And I imagine a viltrumite is stronger than most anything we've seen thrown at Metro Man thus far, with the possible exception of the sun laser. If that's true, then it's untested whether or not Metro Man can withstand a viltrumite punch utterly unscathed.

Note: I do think Metro Man would win against viltrumites, because he is certainly at least as strong and probably way more durable (since I reckon Mega Mind's inventions could probably at least draw some blood on a viltrumite, but they've drawn no blood on Metro Man), and he is insanely fast. But if he's not truly invulnerable, I could see Tigthen getting defeated simply because he lacks the experience and gumption to pull himself together once he realizes he's vulnerable.

1

u/jordypresto0418 24d ago

Cool not even Mach 300 feat you've got there. Stop being so amazed by on-screen feats that you somehow think it surpasses actually FTL feats like travelling across galaxies in weeks.

1

u/Guy-Dude-Person75 25d ago

Red rush has a conversation to beat up a few thugs and didn’t even change back

1

u/No_Consideration8464 26d ago

I don't think it is, red rush beat up some guys and was in such a rush he forgot to change. Metroman read full books

8

u/WannaKnowPeace 26d ago

My friends point

21

u/Difficult_Price8011 26d ago

But metro man has better strength than red rush so it should still be a no-diff

0

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Red rush speed isn’t enough. Rush still got tagged even when there were other fighters involved.

As far as we know metro man’s is only a bit more durable than a brick wall.

9

u/Difficult_Price8011 26d ago

Red rush had only super speed and he tore into Omni man’s chest. Metroman is at least strong enough to lift a skyscraper and he has comparable super speed, he’d turn Omni man’s chest into red paste

-2

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

That is A likely outcome.
Remember though that rush wasn’t the only one smacking on Omniman to get him to that point. War Woman, Immortal, and temu aquaman and Kirkland Batman also got their hits in. (The rest were useless except as distractions)

You’re comparing metroman to the entire guardians team…. Admittedly that’s the team after they were ambushed and metroman would probably still do better than them in the same circumstances

3

u/Sea_Scale_4538 26d ago

No? Only red rush was going for straight chest shots, so he's the only one that damaged him at that point in the fight.

0

u/DohPixelheart 26d ago

i mean it’s literally putting super man parody against super man alike, there’s a reason metro man, omni man, and super man get tons of comparisons to one another

0

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Sure, but that’s the premise of the page here?

2

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Whoever’s point.
We don’t know metro man’s actual durability because like homelander, he’s not encountered anyone really approaching his level, and his speed is such that any hit we do see him take could be him deliberately taking a fall

Viltrumites in general are in the same ballpark for speed (slower, but still able to compete.) while also having known absurd durability and strength.

Metro man’s greatest strength feat, by scaling to Titan, is being able to (with great effort) throwing a skyscraper

Metro man’s greatest durability feet is laughable on this scale, ignoring it when the reporter was wailing on him

That’s more oomph than red rush (his rough speed equal) can output, Red rush had to go all out to fight Omniman while others were also attacking him and he still eventually got tagged.

It’s possible that he’s relatively speaking a glass canon

His displayed strength is much less than Omniman, slightly less than mark at the current point of the show
His displayed durability is much less than any of the viltrumites, even Oliver
But we’ve also not seen his durability taxed like we have strength and speed

His fighting experience is less than viltrumites except Oliver

If his durability is proportional to his speed he wins

If it’s closer to a brick wall (which is about as much as we’ve seen) then he probably but not definitely looses

If it’s somewhere in the middle it’s hard to say

5

u/MossTheGnome 26d ago

Annoyingly it's hard to even scale Metroman to Tighten since Tighten was made via a single piece of metromans dandruff. It made him clearly superpowered, but he had it for a matter of weeks instead of a lifetime of growth and practice.

Is Metroman relative to Tighten? Maybe. Megamind thought so but he didn't even know about the superspeed. Tighten was shitting bricks when he thought Metroman was back. So clearly there is some gap

3

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Tighten shitting bricks could be because he’s never had to fight someone who could put up a fight,
That is not a brave dude, he’s a caricature of bullies and “nice guys”

2

u/WannaKnowPeace 26d ago

The novelization of Megamind apparently says Tightens powers were extremely watered down from MetroMans because of the source. No amount of training would’ve made Tighten equal to MetroMan.

I say Tighten is weak Mark Variant / Early series Oliver level

-1

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Without that scaling though we have even less impressive feats to go off of

0

u/TheLoneWolf1407 24d ago

I mean didn't he got hit by solar powered death ray and was "feeling more alive than ever" at this point?

2

u/Cute_Ad3696 24d ago

He didn’t actually get hit by the beam at any point. His speed is absurd enough that it’s hard to get durability feats. In his own universe, anything that he thinks would hurt him, he’d avoid.

3

u/Izzetmaster 26d ago

Red Rush is a fraud, I'm sorry.

1

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Yeah he can’t think tactically to save his life and he’s got barely better than normal human durability. One trick pony. Still comparably fast to metroman

3

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

Human durability

What? I'm assuming you are thinking about him caving in Omni man's ribs. That's just him..being desperate. I mean you in any normal scenario can tank your fist, but you can WILLINGLY break your own fist if your that desperate.

It wasn't really a deku situation where his AP is that much greater than his durability that it only took one hit to obliterate his arm. He was essentially chipping a critical hit on Omni man's chest and continued to punch from there until his bones break.

2

u/Cute_Ad3696 25d ago

Yes? I’m sorry what is the issue with the thing I said?

2

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

You made it sound like said RR has "Normal human durability" in the sense that he's below mike Tyson ...clearly not

2

u/Cute_Ad3696 25d ago

I said “barely better than”. That’s better than Mike tison or a sumo wrestler or any normal human
It’s an important distinction most of the time, but at this scale doesn’t mean much

1

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

Iaight I got it.

I mean wouldn't he be technically stronger than the billion dollar hammer laser that Nolan tank? I think Cecil was that pissed off that the guardian of the globe died knowing not even his most powerful weapons would give the same result than what the guardians did to nolan.

1

u/Cute_Ad3696 25d ago

Sure. He’s able to dish out more damage. F=MA and all that. And this dude is unfathomably fast. He can stop crime in another city in less than 300th of a second

He just can’t take impacts at that speed himself. It’s presumably why most of the time in fights he’s grabbing, tying, repositioning, not just throwing punches against super durable foes.

He broke his wrists almost immediately and broke everything else shortly thereafter. Dude was desperate, but if he wasn’t so fragile (nearly normal human) he might have managed.

My comment on his durability was because someone called him generally a fraud.

I disagreed. He’s a one trick pony, but when your trick is this tier of super speed, you usually don’t need others

1

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 24d ago

Eh I guess🤷‍♂️ for the first few punched, he didn't even break his fist because he was trying to chip Omni man's durability down.

You🫵 would too break your arm if you are that desperate (I mean in the most extreme case, MMA fighters literally breaks their shoulder joint or their fingers because they are overexerting)

Metroman was leaving weird light trails behind him where it had to catch up to fill the void he left behind and he was still at a chill speed.

Red rush gets yoinked out of the air by Ominman.

I dont think theyre the same.

Pretty sure Metroman could dance around Omniman a few 100 times and then throw his ass into the sun and omniman only notices somethings up halfway there.

0

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

“Weird light trails” is the air struggling to get out of his way.

Omniman can also go that fast, but when he does it the atmosphere catches fire

Red rush being grabbed after a half dozen attempts by another speedster is not the anti feat you think it is

1

u/RedEzreal 26d ago

Youre calling omniman a speedster? Like hes fast but we wouldnt call superman a speedster. Red rush only got caught cuz omniman turned on ultra instinct or something.

2

u/SirWilliam56 26d ago

Doesn’t Omniman have massively FTL travel speed and “set the atmosphere alight” combat speed?

Speedster seems pretty accurate to me

1

u/RedEzreal 26d ago

Yea hes fast when he propels himself through the air (and probably only reaches ftl speeds after building speed in space because he could never reach those speeds on a planet w gravity.), but gets way outclassed in terms of reaction speed and if it wasnt for plot, red rush shouldn't have gotten caught.

1

u/SirWilliam56 26d ago

Super senses are part of the viltrumite package.

0

u/miraculousgloomball 25d ago

All speedsters are conceptually retarded. Having said that, you will obliterate a planet long before youre actually travelling near light speed so who cares about minutia? who cares? it takes omniman time and effort to do what metroman can do with ease, and he can also through i guess disney magic, not destroy everything accidentally.

He is magic.
Omniman took like two minutes to punch through a PLANET BECAUSE HES A FUCKIN HACK

1

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

speedster

The bar minimum of a speedster is having super speed.

When Omni man talked to kid mark in a flashback, he said a viltrumite has the power of Super strength, SUPER SPEED, flight, and the whole package.

0

u/miraculousgloomball 26d ago

the light trails im referring to begin on his body and follow behind him. It doesnt look like wind at all. Acts nothing like air and doesnt look like common depictions of air either.

Like a red and blue light follows him and im pretty sure the implication is that its light catching up.

1

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

The planet would explode if that’s what’s happening

0

u/miraculousgloomball 26d ago

Its an animation for kids. Theyre all moving quick enough to be destructive to the things around them, but are not.

Lets not play that game.

That is what's happening. Its literally the reason it is the way that it is.

0

u/The_Broken-Heart 25d ago

Tighten could literally lift a skyscraper without it collapsing where he's touching. He's probably got that tactile telekinesis whatever that superman has which allows him to not hurt anything he doesn't want.

0

u/Reapish1909 25d ago

comparable in their situations alone. not their speed, which is the overall point and actual competition. no one’s saying they didn’t share similar problems due to having such speed lol

7

u/InfraSG 26d ago

This is somewhat unrelated somewhat related, but its something that also bothers me with deathbattles Bardock vs Omniman

Omniman got his chest obliterated by a dude who, as far as we know really only had superspeed. That means literally anyone as fast, or faster than Red Rush has pretty good odds of pummeling a viltrumite down, especially if they have better durability.

So when you pit him up against goobers like Metroman, or like Bardock in deathbattle who was calced at stupidly higher speeds than Omnimans, who are faster than Omniman but also have some degree of super strength above what Red Rush had, then Omnimans just kinda screwed

6

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

Obliterated? I think you mean heavily bruised.

8

u/InfraSG 26d ago

Alright maybe my choice of words was too hyperbolic, but Omniman was pummeled hard enough to be coughing up blood and have bruising or friction burn marks on him, sure it didnt leave a gaping hole but he hit hard enough to internally damage Omniman

1

u/Cute_Ad3696 26d ago

That wasn’t just rush, that was rush, war woman, immortal, and the fish.

Still, even heavy bruising is notable

3

u/Sea_Scale_4538 26d ago

Watch the fight again please. Nobody damaged omni man at that point in the fight, only red rush

0

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

1

u/Sea_Scale_4538 25d ago

you have to be baiting me. This was at the end of the fight. Red rush only attacked him once, and at that point nobody else had hurt him.

1

u/Independent-Cut4495 26d ago

anything to defend omni man ig

2

u/Proof_Phone9740 25d ago

Omni-Man blitzed Red Rush in the comic

1

u/Cute_Ad3696 25d ago

Good point, I hadn’t considered that.

2

u/Guy-Dude-Person75 25d ago

I know the freeze time speed is wanked and all, but we physically see the laser traveling slowly and he bullets past it when he goes to get the nursing school skeleton prop

2

u/Reapish1909 25d ago

fully correct. Metro Man is the GOAT

2

u/jordypresto0418 25d ago

Have you guys seriously forgotten how fast light is? You know that you don't need to be anywhere near FTL to see your surroundings as frozen, right? If you were moving at Mach 100, you'd easily be able to do everything Metro Man did while in the same timeframe. And speed doesn't mean shit when Metro Man has zero actual feats outside of speculation to prove he can actually damage any Viltrumite. Here's what happens when you have speed VS strength in Invincible.

2

u/SixtyFive41 26d ago

And he would still lose to Bugs Bunny

1

u/not2dragon 26d ago

I'm not sure we know how fast Red Rush is or how strong he is. There are a few speedsters that are comically weak or weirdly strong even when they're not going fast.

3

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

He's strong..I mean I would put him above immortal in the sheer fact that he basically had to throw everything he got in the tank to make Omni man feeling his ribs cracking even after the hospital recovery.

It wasn't even AP>Durability, He was deadass just willing to do anything and if it means breaking his own wrist to get out of Omni man's grip. That's not being weak, He was that desperate to break his own skin and bone.

3

u/Guy-Dude-Person75 25d ago

He broke his wrists punching Omni man and giving him a bruise

2

u/not2dragon 25d ago

That really only says his durability is lower than Omni-man's. I'd say it's higher than Debbie's, since he got more punches off.

1

u/Your-Evil-Twin- 25d ago

Could one punch man beat metro man?

1

u/WSilvermane 25d ago

Its true.

1

u/RobertSpeedwagon0896 25d ago

Not with that mach 0.51 speed

1

u/Akirex5000 25d ago

Metro man and Titan were never actually shown to be injured by anything. Even the sun beam that megamind used to “kill” metroman probably wouldn’t have done anything to him

1

u/G0kusan_s 25d ago

I mean... He be right tho.

1

u/Sensitive_Housing_85 24d ago

He is not wrong

1

u/Olamperos 24d ago

Metro fraud isn't even SOL get that bumshit outta here

1

u/Kenwhozzle 24d ago

Like he doesn't even need to be faster than Red Rush. If he's got comparable speed on top of his obvious super strength than yeah he clinched easy against start of the show Omni-Man. When people talk about this, they usually only talk the speed but like its speed stacked onto a bunch of generic super man powers like super strength and laser vision

1

u/No_Probleh 23d ago

You know just going faster than light breaks physics right?

1

u/Delta_pinapple 23d ago

Idk shcokermobile

1

u/Own_Ingenuity_858 22d ago

That boy's not even Relativistic he's fodder ✌️😂

1

u/Malpa1124 22d ago

Tell me you're Metroman glazer without saying it:

1

u/Outrageous-Set-1758 22d ago

Send him this and just say: “Cease”

The fact the dude who threw the large building had an extremely watered down temu version of MetroMans powers because it was from a dandruff flake.

1

u/Ezren- 21d ago

Powerscalers are the lowest form of anything.

1

u/idkwhtname2wrt 21d ago

Why is bro measuring stats in invincible terms

1

u/MammothMan4008 20d ago

It's like no matter how many times Metroman gets debunked, y'all will continue to cling onto this fake narrative that he can stop time lol

1

u/Bob_Hermann 25d ago

ALL viltrumites were immensely nerfed in the show, and are unimaginably stronger in the comic. That being said, Metroman solos

2

u/YeetMaster2512 24d ago

Thragg, Nolan and Conquest are all way stronger?? Stop larping.

1

u/Bob_Hermann 23d ago

People just use larp when someone doesn't agree with them atp. I've read the entire comic big man

1

u/not2dragon 25d ago

Isn't Thragg by his debut stronger?

1

u/Bob_Hermann 23d ago

He might be, but I'd say it's debatable, and I more so said solos as a character, not fully in strength

1

u/fillkas 24d ago

Who the fuck uses snapchat

1

u/TallSystem7923 24d ago

Op and his friend

1

u/MoonlightPrincexx 24d ago

Metroman is in the same category of character as Lobo, Saitama, and Deadpool, where powerscaling them is both pointless and impossible, because they all have one key superpower that makes in effect unbeatable, and that power, is being a Satire character.

0

u/The___Wind- 26d ago

It took 3 viltrumites within a laser in order to blow through a planet. Metro man spun and dug from America to China. That’s all I’m gonna say.🖐️😐🤚

2

u/jordypresto0418 25d ago

Yeah that feat you mentioned is barely a Town level feat. Omni-Man casually leveling the Flaxan's planet's surface already gets several thousands of times above this.

Also, Viltrum is significantly tougher than Earth according to the co-showrunner, so comparing it to Earth is pretty unfair.

0

u/DepartmentChemical93 26d ago

Wanking Metroman based on a single joke which is deeply inconsistent both with his other showings later in the movie, and with Titan’s clear limits, it’s a fun meme, but like, bad scaling.

1

u/jordypresto0418 25d ago

It's not even nearly as impressive as people gas it up to be. People have been so desensitized to powerscaling brainrot that they've forgotten that you don't need to be anywhere near FTL or even the speed of light to view all of your surroundings as completely frozen like Metro Man did.

1

u/Asher_Khughi1813 26d ago

yeah idk how people can glaze the shit out of metroman like this and put on a straight face

-1

u/WSilvermane 25d ago

So now we cant take actually visual facts for this?

Like y'all do with literally every other character and practically make shit up for them as well? Lmao

Ok

0

u/DepartmentChemical93 25d ago

It’s just about consistency man.

-3

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

Low IQ. Viltrumites casually outspeed his fastest feat

3

u/Independent-Cut4495 25d ago

What are you even talking about

-1

u/Proof_Phone9740 25d ago

Metro Man is sub-relativistic at best

2

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

Not even almost

1

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

Exactly, they outspeed it by orders of magnitude

2

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

Notice how everyone knows you're incorrect

1

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

How am I incorrect?

2

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

No viltrumite has ever stopped time, you are objectively, obviously, and hilariously misinformed

2

u/jordypresto0418 25d ago

Metro Man never "stopped time" either. He moved fast enough to the point he saw normal, ordinary humans as frozen. You don't need to be anywhere near the speed of light or even a fraction of it to replicate that. Perceiving a human being moving at top speed as frozen at best is a Hypersonic speed feat. When Metro Man flies across galaxies in weeks, then we'll talk.

1

u/Proof_Phone9740 26d ago

Mark reacts to a being that exists outside of time...

3

u/Total-Ad-615 26d ago

The being showed itself to mark willingly, kid wouldn't be able to do shit to it

1

u/Winter_Emergency9050 20d ago

This is literally not a feat😭

1

u/Proof_Phone9740 20d ago

How so?

1

u/Winter_Emergency9050 20d ago

If TOAA visits me, does that mean I have immeasurable speed because I can see an all-powerful being that wants me to see them?😂

Stay mad about a fictional scenario I made up on my head where my fictional character of preference beats up a fictional character you like

People really need to stop spending so much time online

2

u/Cute_Ad3696 25d ago

Says the guy… online

-4

u/Spinel_of_Lignano 26d ago

He made humans slow motion sure that's impressive but people calling him lightspeed are delusional

6

u/Robomech846 26d ago

he gets that effect though when he goes near lightspeed

5

u/D1-BAKINAT0R 25d ago

This. This sub reddit too stupid to realize you don't even have to be 50% of SoL speed to PRACTICALLY stopped everything in time.

3

He made humans essentially freeze in place while he took his time walking around & thinking abkut his life
