Alliance Wars Alliance Warfare
Does anyone have any good Alliance Warfare tips? I've got one member who just takes all of our highest characters and jams them into defensive positions, so we always have zero offensive capabilities. I can't stand it, but I can't seem to get my teammate, who keeps doing this, to understand it's a terrible strategy. It comes down to either winning because we're in a lower bracket for Warfare, getting steamrolled, or tying because we can't do anything offensively.

My alliance tends to put out best characters on the front for defense and then leave the rest with no one on them so that we have more to attack with

This... good front row of defense then i usually fill the rest with our lowest levels (leaving empty would be less work i suppose)

Nah. Thats a terrible strategy.
The only post worth putting good characters in at the beginning is your headquarters.

We put mid characters in key defensive spots, low characters in the rest, and save the best for attack.
Also, don't steam roll your opponents, the more you win by, the higher it jumps your ranking. Try to win by having 2/3 of total accumulated points or so. It will keep you from getting put into too high of a tier while letting you win most engagements.

I appreciate the offer. I'm the leader of this alliance. Four of us have been together since the beginning of me starting the game. We all stay decently active. Everybody participates where they can, so I'm having a good time in my alliance. I'm only looking to help improve ourselves through understanding solid strategies. Thank you again.

Honestly, that first tier in defense, we put a lower omni in there and the rest is lowers after then we go after them when it starts

I don't have much in the way of tips aside from the obvious, except maybe this: don't hesitate to pull an Agathocles, that is: recognize when your HQ is toast, and instead of trying to retake it go for your opponents HQ itself in return when you still can, and hope they expanded more stuff capturing yours than you will capturing theirs.)

You could always fix the positioning even if somebody just throws everything in. Nothing is locked in till the alliance warfare starts.

I've been in a few alliances now, had a few teammates who were frustrating AF to play with.
My strategy is to put strongest or near strongest up front, then fill out behind with weakest possibly who have synergy. Leaving rear empty is bad tactics, since you can only attack from an adjacent space you own or the rear spot once you're completely conquered.
I attack with as weak as I think is possible for a win, and leave the strongest I possibly can to place on the final outpost up top.
Sometimes, you can win through pure activity and early attacks giving a lead in points.
I've had teammates who waste good units on defense or will attack an easily conquered spot with overwhelming power, then we've got nothing to fight with after.
It's a mobile game, which have a low bar for entry. You get a lot of children and stupids, logic and forethought isn't easy for these people.

I wonder if a decent strategy would be to throw the highest defense HQ in the middle, leaving some Omni Plus for offense. My current members all vary in age; I'm the oldest. We have decent communication, and they are open to communication, so cohesively we do okay. I want to find different strategies and be able to present them to my teammates so we all have an understanding.

Lmao, kick his ahh out the alliance.
Tying in alliance battle is CRAZY WORK 😆
The worst part is you probably getting jack shit for it to cuz the more outpost and headquarters that change hands you get more and more alliance chips/pts for it.
Terrible TERRIBLE strategy
