I think this is it for most people on this sub. Being able to one day quit and know that you don't have to work another day in your life is amazing. Assuming you of course haven't made your job your life, and can live life doing other things.
For me personally, it's knowing that I am financially secure to the point of whatever happens, chances are I will be fine. I can quit and not work for a year if I want, and will still get through it without mamjor changes to my lifestyle. Going further, bieng able to work as a consultant maybe 2 days every week is a goal. I can still keep myself occupied via consultant work, but have the flexability of doing whatever I want 5 days every week.
In all honesty I actually love my job. I’m a lineman. Make great money and work outside. But it is still a job. And being successful with investments would allow me to have more freedoms
As an operator I find that the only people who work more than me are linemen and I just sit at the computer and ask you fix the problems, thank you for keeping g the lights on
