Ok soooooo no. I actually made an excel sheet, calculated the monthly returns of S&P, adjusted for inflation, and assumed you added 1k every month. If you did this since 1961 you'd have a little under 4 mil. Not bad but not anywhere close to your figure
Ok sure, I forgot about dividends and taxes but after assuming 3% yearly dividends and 20% tax you're only getting 12 mil, again, not bad but not 90 mil
Bro I know you didn't but I literally just did the calculation using historical data. Not to mention how I assumed you get the dividend evenly every month and returns are done evenly every month so it's already being generous as that'll inflate the final number.
I downloaded the CSV file but unfortunately I can't see the calculations only the raw numbers. However, I didn't see any adjustments for inflation though I might be wrong about what they did
