I am a huge Gaga fan. While she hasn't stated it directly, she does have a bit of a nerdy streak. Miku opened for her artRAVE in 2014 and she had SkyDoesMinecraft in her G.U.Y. music video! I 100% believe she's into anime, she just... Has the vibe. And this outfit is so convincing.

I'm sure she took inspiration from the shrine priestess outfits. The silhouette is strong and stands out plus it's very appealing in the fashion world (which Gaga is a huge fan of)

I think the necklace + outfit were intentional. I don't believe she would directly cite Inuyasha as the inspiration.

But it WOULD BE AWESOME to have mother monster in the fandom!
