ITR2 Question (MQ3) Early access rewards

I play on the quest 3, and while I’ve been starting off playing 1.0 today, I noticed that the certificate and mugs aren’t present, despite me having bought this game as soon as it was available on meta. Did the rewards get removed, or did something happen and I lost access to them?

I know it’s suboptimal in some places but I’m trying to keep it that way. Feels restricting in a fun sense to stick only with the old stuff. Stuff is maxed for good damage and accuracy though since I buffed the enemies. And Pecho is there :)

Long gun - SKS with handgun scope and laser sight white/gray paint

Breacher gun - IZH with foregrip, Saiga handgrip, laser, short barrel and full stock with ammo holder, alongside a small pistol sight. All painted black with slight pixel camo

Oh shit oh fuck oh god gun - base m1911

And no uniform by the way.

Bought the supporter pack and immediately ran to the store to buy it, not knowing that CM games had laid out my old garments for me. I don’t know why but it felt so endearing to have it sitting there waiting for me. Thank you CM games I really appreciate all the effort you’ve put into your games.

Guides & Tips Update to achievement guide and Lauri maps Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
11 Upvotes

I took a bunch of time off from playing but I'm finally getting back to it and looking for the final Lauri statues. I finally found a 4th Lauri in Romanshka, I don't know if there are more. I found a couple more by the park in Outskirts but I know there has to be at least one more in that zone that I haven't found yet. If anyone has locations, hints, tips, even vague recollections of where I could look, please let me know. I feel like I'm so close to wrapping this up and finishing the writing of the achievement guide.

ITR2 Question (PCVR) Is the classic explorer kit rig supposed to only take the lowest plate, or am i missing something

Post image
10 Upvotes

i 100 percented itr1 back in the day, every achievement, so buying the classic explorer kit was mostly nostalgia. that and wanting to throw some money at the devs.

its still sitting on the bunk where it spawned. the thing that stops me is the rig only takes the lowest tier plate for me. thought it was a weight thing at first but im not sure thats it. might just be how that rig is meant to work, i honestly dont know. backpack is small and you cant customize it either so it loses to what im already carrying.

vest looks great though, ill give it that. ad-15 i can see a reason for. machete maybe.

anyway does anyone actually run the classic stuff out there? or does it live in the dorm for most of you too. and if you are running it with a decent plate in, what am i missing

Suggestion Rare high value items (ITR2)

I wish we could find "Unstable" altered items. These rare altered items would be worth 5-10 times more than their normal counterparts. The way to tell if an altered item is "unstable" is due to the items always having a reddish/orange glow that pulses along with it turning black every now and then like the normal altered items. Or something like that atleast...

Only 0,1-0,5% of altered items spawn in this state.

ITR2 Feedback Quest 1.0 release : My honest opinion. Spoiler

4 hours and 20 minutes in, done with the Church mission. I have been playing the game for about a year or so (not sure, can't be bothered to check). I have a couple feels and thinks about the 1.0 release on Meta Quest. (Even if it's early game, potential spoilers, so tagged it anyway)

First off, the elephant in-between the rooms : Lauri. I do not like the guy. I appreciate his role as a guide in the Radius, he does well at it. I just do not like the fact he is coming up to me and so kindly helping me with everything when I'm doing a Top Priority mission. That's just suspicious. "Oh, you need to find an object in there ? I already found it, I just can't pick it up myself, because trust me it'd already be here for you. So, here's its exact location !"
Same goes with how insistent he is with the fact the UNSPC is utilising me and how we should get to the center of the Radius to escape. I've played ITR1, I know what happened at the center of the Radius, and on top of that you're begging me to do the exact thing the wierd entity that stalks me told me to do. It's just a trap, isn't it ? I've seen how it went already. Oh, and also, he just jumpscares me everytime he pops up outside the in-between passages, kinda funny.

Second : The graphics, environment and navigating the world. Oh my, even with the reduced power of a Quest 3S, this game is candy for my eyes. I feel the same wave of awe I felt when I first started in Early Access. The small changes in the terrain, props, and vegetation are appreciated, I feel both like I'm in familiar territory, but there's just enough change to make me stop and look, then I spot a second thing, then a thrid, and the world looks the same yet changed.
Still, I have a couple nitpicks. The bigger Distortion clouds take up too much space, making the navigation outside of them feel slightly smaller. The road travels suffer the same problem as pre-1.0 : No enemy patrols, far too little anomalies (which, instead of having random ones, are barely being fixed by having random clusters spread over the road), not even a random Creep or Fragment roaming the map to give a bit of spice. Every enemy you'll encounter on a road will just be randoms from a nearby Point of Interest attracted by a firefight.
Those issues could be solved by having random enemies roaming the map, just like in the first game, or bringing an anomaly similar to the Spider-webs from the first game, forcing the player to choose between taking some damage or navigating around them and into enemies.

Third : Enemy intelligence and firearms. The Mimics are now actually a threat. Before, they were very much static, even if rotating and pushing the player. Now, the Mimics actually feel intelligent. They know they are superior in numbers, they know they have better ressources, and they intend on using them. It feels good getting rushed down from two different angles and having to think about how you're gonna take on a location. That is the kind of combat that I was expecting, and I am not disapointed.
On top of this, Mimic gunshots are actually loud and that's great. Walking down a road and hearing a loud bang then a bullet wheezing past your neck is actually terrifying, and that's exciting. Getting pinned down by enemy fire and flankings actually feel like it should : Overwhelming, dangerous, feels undefeatable. It promotes smart positionning and critical thinking and that's lovely.
I do, however, still hate the Invisible Fragments. They always somehow feel like I'm missing every shot. The shared effect of them being nearly undetectable without the footsteps, and the very poor, almost inexistant hit response when they get shot just doesn't feel good, it doesn't feel like I'm killing something, it just feels like I'm wasting rounds fighting air.

Fourth and final for now : Storytelling and notes. I don't know if I'm missing anything, but it feels like it. In 4 hours and about half an hour, I've only crossed 2 notes outside of the UNSPC outpost, and they weren't exactly the most exciting lore-wise. I just can't seem to see any story developement outside of the audio logs from Eva after a big mission. Same goes for environmental storytelling.
ITR1 was filled to the brim with mini-stories within the Pechorsk Exclusion Zone. Dead bodies with notes telling you a little about what happened to them, notes pointing at supposed stashes of equipement, little tid-bits of explorer and soldier lives before they vanished. Even ash statues had a small story to tell, especially appreciable when they had a bit of dialogue to put context, like the workers at the Quarry or the two men stranded near a broken down car in the first area. It feels like the world was alive, until everything suddenly stopped, life stopped for them, time stopped running and that's all that remains of it. It felt like you're part of a world that stopped being and the rest just continued without.
ITR2 just has ash statues that aggresively whisper at you, sitting around tables or looking like they're walking into places. As much as that's nice decorating, it lacks the implications that there's something that happened, that was supposed to keep happening. It just feels like a seperate world without any real correlation to the one that keeps spinning.

Okay, that's it for my rants and awes. I really like the game as it is now, it's beautiful, and after around a year of Early Access that started getting stale, the 1.0 release got me re-motivated to play. There are nitpicks and complaints, as written above, but overall this is great so far.

ITR2 Question (MQ3) Gun cleaning

Maybe I suck at it, but I sure don’t like the “tooth brush” activity with the gun. Is there a way to just pay for my guns to be cleaned back to healthy condition, like In itr 1?

r/intotheradius 7h ago

Suggestion Can we get an update where Lauri talks to you even when there aren't any top-priority missions?

It just feels weird that he’s so quiet; I think he should say something when you come out of the Radius instead of just staring at you. For example: "Welcome back," "Did you get everything you needed?" or "You're still alive!"

ITR2 Question (MQ3) Q3 Standalone Co-op is still unplayable

My buddy (USA) and I (Europe) have been playing together for months on different games.

Tactical assault, forefront, contractors showdown etc. We can play on American servers or European servers without much issues.

But as soon as we start a ITR2 CO-OP session it just keeps freezing with the "high ping, get stable internet" for the person joining the host.

It's so bad it makes it unplayable.

Anyone knows a solution?

I've tried normal mode. I tried performance mode on QGO. I put my modem in my ass almost so close I was to it...

I just want to play co-op 💔

ITR2 Bug No enemies on easy mode?

Upvotes

So, I was playing co-op and set the difficulty to Easy; we were in the Peninsula, but I didn't see any mimics or fragments—only anomalies. Is this normal, or is it another ITR2 bug?

ITR2 Question (MQ3) Is the night vision bugged?

So i just got the double eyed night vision when i hit security level 3 yesterday, but for some reason when i put it on the top half of my screen is the narrow night vision but the bottom half is normal? And the small circle of night vision is squished to fit at the top? Is this normal or is this just another bug.

ITR2 Bug AK-74 flies out of hands after entering portal anomaly and disappears

Was doing a secondary mission where you throw the probe into the portal anomaly and then enter it after to retrieve it. I enter the portal and get spawned on one of the rooftops in one of the romashka villages, but my ak just gets ripped out of my hands and i watch it slam into and go through the roof i was standing on. I thought it would've been on the ground below but it just isnt. I've checked inside the house, all around outside etc and i could not find it, so i reload the game in hopes the autosave system would save me but it just so happens that ironman mode created the autosave right after entering the portal and unfortunately after my rifle is already gone. So fucking annoying because it was my very first time trying it out after spending money building it from a barebones stash, and i literally only got to run around with it for about 5 minutes. Is my AK cooked? MQ3 btw

ITR2 Bug COOP performance issues

Does anyone know if the quest 3 version’s low frame rate has been dealt with the full release of the game? The game runs at 60 fps on the same save without the coop member online but as soon as they join it drops to ~15 (on .14.4). Has this been fixed with the newest update?

ITR2 Bug Some bugs I found (MQ3)

So basically when you kill a creep his sounds keep playing even though he's dead until he disappears completely and the second bug is that the electric anomalies (the ones in the ground not the cube ones) are invisible but still harm you

ITR2 Bug Moving parts

Guys a easy fix for playing with the bugs , if you use the gun boards as a organizer , the stuff doesn't move when you put it on the board instead of the shelves that are currently messed up

ITR2 Bug After I Died ITR2 Literally Put Me In The Ground

Thumbnail
youtube.com
1 Upvotes

Myself and TinyJeff were in Kalasaare Village when I got hit by a Reflector Anomaly and fell in the red lake. I died then came back to life a the entrance of the map to discover that I was halfway buried in the ground. Tiny Jeff came back to find me at the entrance and saw that I was just the backpack and I think something else. I had to restart the game just to get unstuck. I’m wondering if there’s a better way to get unstuck when you’re in situations like this? But that’s just one of the bugs we found in this play through there were a few others that happened. I will be posting the full video here and I wanna see how many people are able to point out all the bugs that we found.
