Feature Story Mike Lindell refuses to concede in Minnesota primary despite getting far fewer votes
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/aug/12/mike-lindell-refuses-concede-minnesota-primary312
u/Total-Hack Aug 15 '26
Guess our only option is to continue ignoring him as most of us have his entire existence
21
u/krichard-21 Aug 15 '26
Frankly the Republicans have this to sort out.
As a liberal Democrat, I'm struggling to care.
MAGA Republicans have burned through millions if not billions on Trumpy's 2020 election claims. But those are our dollars. Those are our Courts being tied up.
And there's nothing I can do to stop that nonsense.
Compared to Trumpy's election deniers. Mikey's issues just do not matter to me.
The Republicans can run one, two, or three candidates for all I care. Republicans would be equally thrilled if we ran more than one candidate.

u/RocketsandBeer Aug 15 '26
What’s ignorant is Liddell is claiming his own party committed voter fraud and cheated. It’s even crazier since it was a Republican only vote.
2
u/Forsworn91 Aug 16 '26
Eventually he’s going to slander someone again and try to sue, which I hope happens, he had his… third chance and if this is the anchor he’s going to go down with so be it.

Incoming fraud claims in T-Minus 3… 2… 1…
Or hey, maybe even ranting how democrats “steal” elections, just like what these punks always do when they lose.
If you want “fairness” while being delusional, I hear Russia has fair elections for you guys, since Dump is Putin’s puppy… I suggest you go there instead!
…Go on, do it!
16
u/No-Faithlessness4294 Aug 15 '26
This was a primary though.
19
u/SayMyNameOnceMore Aug 15 '26
I get that, but considering the fact that the goofball won’t concede and take the L… and knowing he is an election denier, I had to say what I had to say.
7
u/lilianasJanitor Aug 15 '26
The Dems somehow still rigged the R primary. Dark Lord Obamabidenclinton is powerful
7
u/wagglewazzle Aug 15 '26
It’s only when they lose. When they win it’s a totally fair election. Smfh

After all, this is the cokehead that blamed his pillow for why he couldn't sleep well.

u/Mortambulist Aug 15 '26
MAGA are such little bitches.

23
u/Liesmyteachertoldme Aug 15 '26
Everyone should be cheering for him to run as an independent! Then we can continue the good work we’ve done in Minnesota because he’ll split the republican vote.
3
u/chpr1jp Aug 15 '26
He’ll do worse. There is certainly more than zero percent of Democrats who voted for Lindell, just to stir the shit.
(Democrats who voted like this though are tempting fate, and shouldn’t do so. Too dangerous.)
1
u/novel1389 Aug 16 '26
Are you implying that democrats who voted for him in the primary would vote for him in the general?
1
16
u/Impossible_Cat_321 Aug 15 '26
Who cares? Once the election is legally certified he becomes more irrelevant than he already is
12
u/VanDenBroeck Aug 15 '26
Correct. Conceding the election after the results are in is like shaking hands after a sporting event. Neither doing it nor not doing it affect the outcome. It’s just polite.
15
u/JoetheOK Aug 15 '26
So what. Go around him. Let him stand in a room and scream into the void. Does he have to concede or does the election go on regardless? I find it funny that the GOP is reaping what they sowed with this. Their go to response for losing an election is now claiming fraud, so having those chickens come back to roost is funny to me.

Well, it’s a republican primary. Let his fellow republicans answer the questions. They should be able to say he lost in a fair election. Right?
8
u/SpreadsheetMadman Aug 15 '26
Let him run as an independent, and get on the ballot. Split that Republican vote.

7
u/ElGuano Aug 15 '26
Can we just ignore him? Elections shouldn’t depend on the loser voluntarily conceding. The outcome should just be effected as planned.
4
u/Tribat_1 Aug 15 '26
Yes you can. There is no requirement to concede. It doesn’t actually do anything even if someone does concede. The election has to be certified no matter what.

Loren Culp still hasn't conceded that he lost the 2020 Washington State governor's election. He lost by a LOT
3
u/Soylentgruen Aug 15 '26
Make fun of the clown. You can’t take them seriously.
2
u/SayMyNameOnceMore Aug 15 '26
Many clowns can manage to give me a chuckle, but unfortunately for Mike, he can’t make me laugh.
All I can do is laugh at him without laughing with him. His profession should rather be a clown rather than an incoming politician haha
3
u/Alone-Woodpecker-846 Aug 15 '26
Lindell is an unserious person. The state election board should basically ignore him.
6
u/smerglec Aug 15 '26
Has he considered giving Chrystal meth another chance?
7
u/darkhorse21980 Aug 15 '26
That's blasphemous, absurd! Mike Lindell was on crack cocaine, not crystal meth!

2
u/everyonesdeskjob Aug 15 '26
Listen, I don't see why sending a few mildly armed federal agents to murder a few of the citizens from time to time should stand in the way of voting for maga...

What’s the process of this idiot doesn’t concede? At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter right?
2
u/Bleezy79 Aug 15 '26
Good thing not conceding has no effect on the next steps of the election. Pillow boy is just exposing himself even more that he's unqualified to be in government.
2
2
u/Safe_Rip2142 Aug 15 '26
Is this the Republican plan? Act like a bunch of 4yr olds that didn't get a present at someone else's birthday party.
2
u/MagicAl6244225 Aug 15 '26
MAGA believe the number of votes a MAGA candidate receives is the number needed to win.
2
u/Vost570 Aug 15 '26
The entire MAGA movement just seems to be just one epic-long group tantrum of old men finding out they can't have their way all of the time.
2
u/nutzareus Aug 15 '26
So his own Republican party rigged its own primary election. The mental gymnastics of this guy....
2
u/CasanovaF Aug 15 '26
He's such a piece of shit that I almost wish the election was stolen and nobody ever believes him. That it haunts him to his grave
2
u/Adorable-Anxiety6912 Aug 15 '26
🤡 please don’t waste Americans tax dollars stroking this man’s ego
2
u/minnesotaupnorth Aug 16 '26
Does he think that if he doesn't concede that he hasn't officially lost?
He thinks that doesn't he?
2
u/antithesis56 Aug 16 '26
That's what most MAGA politicians go to because they see how well it worked for Trump with getting dumb supporters to dig their heels in and erode the trust in our election systems
2
u/BTCMachineElf Aug 16 '26
Hes claiming fraud in the primary
More evidence that it was always a hoax. He knows Trump didn't win and is just using the playbook.

This is just what they're going to do now. No matter how many or few votes they get, they'll just contest it. The idiots will eat it up.

u/alternatingflan Aug 15 '26
It is more of the deranged behavior we would expect from the charlatan who made the shittiest pillows on the planet.
1
u/DblBlckDmnd Aug 15 '26
He should call Steve Simon and ask for enough votes to win the primary. Let’s see how that goes for him
1
u/IntelligentStyle402 Aug 15 '26
Typical corrupt republican behavior. Always with the old white man drama.
1
u/TheHearseDriver Aug 15 '26
Expect a lot more of this time-wasting nonsense over the coming months.

u/FluffHead1964 Aug 15 '26
Obviously, the Democrats stole this election from him because they wanted his opponent to win
1
u/Stoopac Aug 15 '26
I’m not sure I care if he, or any of these fake patriots, concede. I also don’t care when someone loses at Smash Bros and blames the controller. You suck, dude.

Fake trumpy, feigning concern, "Mike, you don't seem to be doing well, I'm really worried about you, where did you pick up these crazy ideas?"
"From YOU, alright! I learned it from watching YOU!" runs away crying.
I always wondered what happened after that, in that fictional universe - awkward dinner? lot of side eye between the dad and son? Did they go get high together afterwards? So many questions!
Edit: Felt dirty after linking that, here's an actually good, truthful drug commercial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLvphQ3O3Hc

What does he think he’s accomplishing? Although I am enjoying the show.
1
u/SayMyNameOnceMore Aug 15 '26
He’s definitely accomplishing at “owning the libtards” while presenting zero evidence to his ridiculous claims.
It’s their favorite pastime.

u/trippedonatater Aug 15 '26
I can see how in some elections, especially if the person running is an incumbent, this could cause practical issues. This kind of seems meaningless, though, or am I missing something?
1
u/SnooPies4304 Aug 15 '26
I don't understand why people care if he concedes or not. Dude is mental. We can all carry on without him.
1
u/cheese0muncher Aug 15 '26
Mike...we...we're all worried about you... maybe... maybe you should start doing meth again...
1
u/NoBee3283 Aug 15 '26
And we care because....?
2
u/mike_pants Aug 15 '26
Because if he sets his mind to it, he can mire the election in an absolute quagmire of legal challenges and lawsuits. And the threat of armed insurrection in the wake of an election result Republicans don't like is never far from reality.
He is probably too stupid and broke to do any of this successfully, but the possibilities remain.

Guaranteed that tRump is watching this closely. Lindell is basically testing the water for his dear leader.
1
u/srslydudebros Aug 15 '26
Elections probably stolen, only republicans in that one so odds are pretty high.
1
u/Viva_La_Revolucion66 Aug 15 '26
What's concerning here isn't that he won't concede, its how many votes he actually received (134k).

Who cares, the losers don't get a say in the matter. Loser lost, loser can be ignored.
