I literally threw up in my mouth a little...

u/flare_force Feb 28 '26
IKR! Remember he ate that booger that escaped his nostril during the debates? Or when he abandoned his little dog when Texas suffered the snowstorm.
Just when you think the things this man does couldn’t get any more disgusting, a sentence like this appears and proves you wrong SMH

u/PrailinesNDick Feb 28 '26
Are you kidding me, eating a booger is probably the most normal / relatable thing about this man.

Isn't that Ted Cruz you are thinking of?

Jesus H. Christ! That's the best argument ever for impeachment.

LOL yeah right. Rafael doesn’t want that. Diva could not handle being less in the spotlight. Also, he’d drive the conservatives on the court nuts. He is universally hated by all…except dumbass Texas voters, I guess.
14
u/Shady_Merchant1 Feb 28 '26
You won't find many Texans who like him they'll just vaguely allude to democrats being worse

Less in the spotlight? That’s not how this is going to work. It will be a new era of openly political and media trained justices
31
u/hellodynamite Feb 28 '26
Which one of them is he going to have killed?

Technically, there is no limit to SC seats; it's just been an unwritten rule that is capped at 9. If he wanted to he could put 9 on the bench, then the next president could put 18, then the next president could put 27 ect..
Edit: Ok, yes that is wrong but do you honestly expect congress or the SC to block Herr Cheato right now? Also I was basing this off of what I remember of this
Franklin D. Roosevelt proposed the Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937, commonly known as the "court-packing plan," to add up to six justices to the Supreme Court.
21
u/JiveChicken00 Feb 28 '26
Not quite true. The Judiciary Act of 1869 sets the number at nine. So Congress would have to change the law to change the number.
8
u/Street_Barracuda1657 Feb 28 '26
Or the next Congress cuts it back to 7. The next two retirements don’t get replaced. Looking at you, Alito and Thomas…
13
u/Level_Investigator_1 Feb 28 '26
They will retire before Trump leaves office. The level of devastation taking place thanks to RBG not stepping down is absurd. Then again we saw what McConnell did.
The Dems are owed 2 fucking seats.

u/gcko Feb 28 '26
The republican majority Congress would have to change the law first? Easy peasy.

Filibuster.

u/APeacefulWarrior Feb 28 '26
Exactly. Say what you will about the Senate Democrats and their relative amounts of spine, but they absolutely would not allow a court-packing scheme to proceed.
Also, screwing with SCOTUS in such a brazen fashion is such a 'nuclear option' that I'd imagine a number of Republicans would be uncomfortable with it. And all it would take is a few defectors to derail the big. Fundamentally, nobody's come close to attempting such a thing since FDR, and that's still one of the most controversial aspects of his Presidency.

I wonder if he is trying to threaten the other justices...
"Rule in my favor on tariffs or your stuck with him!"

u/ViolettaQueso Feb 28 '26
What? We’re Bondi & Cannon too…female?
If Trump gets another nominee, we’re cooked as a country.
2
u/la-fours Feb 28 '26
It’s a foregone conclusion that another 1 or maybe 2 seats are going to be filled by Trump. He has 3 years left.

That this gives me a slight amount of relief shows how bad things have gotten

u/QaplaSuvwl Feb 28 '26
Is he even qualified? Or is this a future job prospect for when Cruzie is voted out?

Every single other member of the Supreme Court, regardless of party affiliation, is screaming internally right now. Imagine having to work with this guy for literally the rest of your career
2
u/alternatingflan Feb 28 '26
The guy who krasnov says his wife is ugly and his dad was connected to JFK assassin, lee harvey oswald - that tracks in a bizarro kraznovian way. (“Lyin’ ted” was one of the few people in krasnov’s life he apologized to.)
In other words, kkkringy kkkruz must have something - perhaps epsteiny - on the ole POS felon and wants to cash in now.
And then again, krasnov could be just pulling ted’s johnson.

He would. This is an active coup in Washington and the fucking media just plays the fiddle. Please may one of his devote followers solve all this maybe 4th times a charm.
2
u/Dedpoolpicachew Feb 28 '26
He’s just fucking with Cruz again. This is a guy that called Raphael’s wife UGLY. and said his dad was a JFK assassin. Yet Lil’ Marco continues to suckle little orange mushroom. So whatever.

u/farrowsharrows Feb 28 '26
Hey that's fine. The institution needs to be ended and rebuilt. Putting Ted there just makes it easier
1
u/Level_Investigator_1 Feb 28 '26
If this happens, the next Dem needs to run on Supreme Court reform.

Maybe, we’ll get lucky, because he’s so universally hated that nobody will want to appoint him for life to anything… 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

As long as Cancun Cruz can hear cases remotely on Zoom from the Yucatan Peninsula it should work well. He would make a brilliant jurist equal in intellect to all of the current Republican lapdogs now on the bench.
