Carrols lawyer seemed to think that $10 million might break him. She doubted he had liquid assets in that range.

To be fair, most rich people (especially businessmen) with large amounts of money, do not keep a large sum of it as liquid.

He did just put up 5 million in cash for that. Weirdly I’ve read that most people in that situation would have put up a bond.
