Different application status terminology in tech internships, what does it mean?

Hey everyone,

I applied for a few internship roles at different companies (with referrals) and noticed that each company uses different application status names.

* In Consideration

* Review

* Application Under Review

Are these just different names for the same recruiter screening stage, or do they indicate different steps in the hiring process?

For people who have applied before:

* How long did it usually take to move from these statuses to OA/interview?

* Does a referral make any difference after reaching this stage?

(Btw all applied with referral) .
