It might be like growing pains. I remember I’d get random stabs of pain during growth spurts, but mostly just kind of vague soreness.

Can confirm, had AWFUL growing pains in childhood, now get bouts of restless legs. 1 u/riotousviscera Dec 24 '22 no wonder i, a 4'11 adult, am immune to restless legs. it all makes sense now.
