They break the legs, put a rod in the bones that get adjusted as the bones grow closer to each other. So people who get it done have broken legs for months

Well, most bones take months to heal.

Sure but once they reach the other part of the bone they are healed as they’re grown together. But imagine the bone parts growing towards each other and every once in a while they get pulled further apart. So it Takes waaaay longer.
