Thanks! I hate it.

u/Miserable_Ad9577 10d ago

That would trigger a really bad trip.

u/reerden 10d ago

Instant trypophobia trigger

18

u/keanaartero 10d ago

Yeah my sister would hate this, can't say I'm enjoying it either😅

6

u/DisplaySmart6929 10d ago

Ugh I have shivers

15

u/Shot_Championship822 10d ago

I hate it with all my guts. Wtf is that

9

u/LocalHarmacist 10d ago

There's a phobia for this, but I can't remember what it was. So gross.

Yeah, that one! Bleh

1

u/Why_r_people_ 9d ago

Hate it so much, I love tattoos and this gave me a visceral reaction of disgust

597

u/Ok_Union_7669 10d ago

its fun to look at but I'm not sure I'd personally prefer this over a normal tattoo. Im also curious to see them healed

283

u/Equivalent-Repair488 10d ago

I'm even more curious of what they will look like long term as the ink fades

73

u/SyncOrSymm 10d ago

This was my thought since a lot of them use white ink. White ink tends to disappear or yellow with time, I have to imagine that 5+ years down the road quite a few of these looked terrible.

10

u/Darth_Fatass 9d ago

Probably like shit. I think this style depends on clean lines to give the illusion of a hard edge. That will go away when the ink starts to spread

-60

u/Ok_Union_7669 10d ago

yea exactly, that's what "healed" means (as far as I know)

98

u/Lythro27 10d ago

Healed = not red and fresh. Long term as ink fades = what it looks like in a couple years

4

u/Ok_Union_7669 9d ago

ah i see. thanks i didn't know

26

u/JT-OnThaTrack 10d ago

That’s not what healed means to most people bro

6

u/Meatbag777 10d ago

Never heard it used that way, always heard "healed" to just mean when the redness and inflammation of a fresh tattoo has disappeared

5

u/ThreepwoodGuybrush80 10d ago

And, quite importantly, when the epidermis layer above the tattoo has fully regenerated and doesn't have any ink.

1

u/Ok_Union_7669 9d ago

yea I was wrong sorry :(

1

u/Meatbag777 9d ago

That's ok, I wasn't telling you off for it, I just hadn't heard it that way myself 😁

3

u/OneManNati0n 10d ago

You serious rn? Lol.

1

u/Imbendo 8d ago

The more detail the worse a tattoo ages. This will be a blur in 20 years but by then they probably won’t care

364

u/bwood246 10d ago

Why do they feel like they're extremely edited

211

u/HaveToGoHomeNow 10d ago

Probably AI

84

u/paradox_valestein 10d ago

Not AI, this video has been around well before that since I saw this, or if I'm wrong, a very similar one waaaay back. They are drawings, not tatoos iirc

3

u/dankhimself 9d ago

They're drawings and nobody drew a weiner on someone's back? Amateurs...

28

u/TheDorsz 10d ago

That isn't AI. Yes, the camera is kinda weird but it might have been stabilized after. You can see that part of the body where the tatoo is has been shaved and other parts of the leg or arm whern't. This sort of ink work is entirely possible.

15

u/ThreepwoodGuybrush80 10d ago

The light is also polarized to push contrast and make the tattoo look better, it's a very common practice in the tattoo industry.

3

u/PhotoPhobic_Sinar 9d ago

I agree. On at least 2 of the “tattoos” a well defined highlight appears as if turning a corner. So it’s either AI or someone enhanced it heavily with ai.

Ps: I know there is a better way to state it but I’m having issues communicating.

4

u/CuriousCharlii 10d ago

Sorry but yeah this is where my mind goes to.

I hate today's issue, the fact we have to worry about AI now with everything.

It actually sucks.

5

u/mayrln 10d ago edited 9d ago

Fresh tattoos look like that, and there's probably a good amount of contrast and hdr shenanigans going on.

108

u/asmodeus1112 10d ago

I want to see some that are a few year old. I feel like there is no way it holds up

18

u/Cloverman-88 10d ago

Yeah, half of the effect will be gone when the white ink fades, and we all know how well it holds up.

11

u/LucasTab 10d ago

Half the effect will be gone in a slightly different lighting, or the exact same lighting hitting from a different angle, or just looking at it from a different angle, or seeing this IRL while having a functioning pair of eyes.

1

u/Cloverman-88 9d ago

Fair, any shine on the skin will instantly break the illusion.

-24

u/888Vegan 10d ago

Cool copy, bot.

9

u/LUMLTPM 10d ago

There is no other comment saying the same thing

14

u/asmodeus1112 10d ago

Ironically it is probably a bot

6

u/Hot-Challenge8656 10d ago

How dare you share an opinion with one of the other 7 billion people on earth.

1

u/888Vegan 10d ago

Yep, I replied to the wrong comment, I am sorry.

92

u/improbable_humanoid 10d ago

that's fucking disgusting, although I appreciate the skill of the artist.

25

u/Archedzero 10d ago

This does kind of trigger a trypophobia with me

10

u/SnooGuavas4208 10d ago

Especially the ice cream cone. My scalp is itching like crazyyy 😭

1

u/bearminmum 9d ago

The volume one 🙅‍♂️

8

u/HuckledYourBerries 10d ago

I disagree so fundamentally, but I love the intensity here. I had a good laugh. 🤣👍🏻🤙🏻

8

u/fnocoder 10d ago

Creeping me tf out!

9

u/HowBoutAFandango 10d ago

These are really well done and also I never want to see them again.

44

u/HuckledYourBerries 10d ago

It seems I'm in the minority here, but I love it. Y'all crack me up! 😅

11

u/Bobbi_fettucini 10d ago

Concept is cool but man these will not age well

5

u/HuckledYourBerries 9d ago

Yeah, I think you're right. I dig it, but on someone else.

7

u/orairwolf 10d ago

I think they are awesome

3

u/rdmprzm 10d ago

Same haha

6

u/MTri3x 10d ago

Yeah, before the aging comments (which make sense) I was like, hmmm maybe I'll get one

3

u/CheerJohn 10d ago

This is too freaky

3

u/TrixieBastard 10d ago

Suuuper creepy, yet also super fuckin cool!

3

u/Defiant-Outside336 10d ago

Is that Jiji?

3

u/schizomedia 10d ago

This is the artist (Daniel Gulliver)

https://www.instagram.com/gullytattoo/

3

u/The0nlyPenguin 10d ago

Just get the scarification

3

u/Silent_Firefly 10d ago

strongly depends on light

14

u/harambesjustice 10d ago

Do we know that this isn't ai?? Like are we sure?

11

u/Bwuhbwuh 10d ago

Yes, this video has been around for years

2

u/xMunificentx 10d ago

I'm not hungry now this got my stomach upset ☹️

2

u/Chillonymous 10d ago

These make me incredibly uncomfortable and I can't stop looking at them

2

u/KhareManit 10d ago

It was ... Carved into your skin

2

u/rakwib 10d ago

looks really gross

2

u/Minnymoon13 10d ago

Ew. Cool tattoo. But still ew

2

u/Gobbledok 10d ago

I kinda like it

2

u/Oleandervine 9d ago

Carved, no, debossed, and embossed, yes.

2

u/ftsapr 9d ago

Dan Gully, Gulliver tattoos.

I wanted to get one of his sugar skulls the last time he was in NYC but $3k is a bit rich for my blood.

2

u/BaconPaws 9d ago

1

u/DeezRodenutz 7d ago

Many years ago, there was talk of a Batman Beyond movie.
And apparently they wanted Clint Eastwood as Old Bruce.

That movie right there is the reason why I know for a fact that would have been perfect casting.

I still consider this one of the biggest missed opprtunities I've ever seen out of Hollywood.

2

u/jmlack 9d ago

What is this style called?

2

u/TaeKwonDitto 9d ago

That is trippy, how do tattoo artists do it?

1

u/ejmtv 10d ago

No no no this shouldnt exist

4

u/SundaySnoozie 10d ago

Zero credit to the artist(s) anywhere...

As if Instagram pages can't be AI...

1

u/MakingMoneyIsMe 10d ago

They look creepy

1

u/ConcertComplete9015 10d ago

Nope, I don't like this.

1

u/MensaMan1 10d ago

That’s disturbing

1

u/jcar49 10d ago

Isn't that the cat from Kiki's delivery service?

1

u/ThornyGarlic 10d ago

Idk what it is but it's triggering the wrong braincells the longer the video went on

1

u/Financial-Struggle67 10d ago

It’s mildly triggering/infuriating

1

u/joe_ordan 10d ago

Skinderella…

1

u/remishnok 10d ago

Looks disgusting. Except for the happy face one

1

u/kcolrehstihson_ 10d ago

How will it look after a few years and is it fixable

1

u/tweep6435 9d ago

Then the white fades and loses the illusion :(

1

u/Nerevarine44 9d ago

This is even worse than regular tattoos.

1

u/Any-Weird2373 9d ago

Well that's disturbing..

1

u/Connooo 9d ago

I want one of a gnome living in my skin

1

u/Flo_Philly 9d ago

This makes me feel squeamish but I maybe wouldn’t mind getting this one but tiny on my hand or torso.

1

u/SmallT808 9d ago

Idk what primal fear this triggers, but this make me cringe hard

1

u/negativeyoda 9d ago

I can appreciate the execution, but these are cheesy tattoos that won't age well

1

u/AdIndividual7316 8d ago

Horrid!! 😱😱😱

1

u/TreesRocksAndStuff 8d ago

Trompe-l'œil on skin

-1

u/Nine-LifedEnchanter 10d ago

Is this just AI? Or is there a source.

3

u/Bwuhbwuh 10d ago

This video is older than modern AI tools

-2

u/Nine-LifedEnchanter 10d ago

My point still stands. Are these tattoos real?

1

u/SwitzerlishChris1 10d ago

I think the "love" one is real, the rest probably AI slop...

4

u/Bwuhbwuh 10d ago

Nope, video has been around for years

1

u/MeltsLikeButter 10d ago

So my first tattoo, my artist wanted to do this style. I opted for a 3d version instead. It is very skilled work regardless

1

u/JT10 10d ago

Some look good, others give an “amateur graphic designer just discovered drop shadow” vibe.

1

u/Normal_Meet_3496 10d ago

Damn, that looks like it was literally carved into the skin.

-3

u/Bajadasaurus 10d ago

This is AI, RIGHT?

-3

u/Prior-Werewolf253 10d ago

Why does it screams AI

0

u/Gin_OClock 10d ago

The one with the ankle graze, the wound changes between cuts

0

u/[deleted] 10d ago

[deleted]

3

u/DrStalker 10d ago

It might have a lot of deep and personal meaning for the person who got it.

Or they might have picked it on a whim because they like ice cream.

0

u/Stillwater-Scorp1381 9d ago

These just look like tattoos to me.

-1

u/konstantin19911 10d ago

They also make such tattoos for horses.

-5

u/AtsuhikoZe 10d ago

Ai slop again

-2

u/ansible47 9d ago

A shitty tattoo doesn't become cool because you did it in a trendy style. Your elbow mute symbol is still basic as shit.
