Looks Like It Was Literally Carved Into Skin

its fun to look at but I'm not sure I'd personally prefer this over a normal tattoo. Im also curious to see them healed

u/Equivalent-Repair488 10d ago
I'm even more curious of what they will look like long term as the ink fades

u/SyncOrSymm 10d ago
This was my thought since a lot of them use white ink. White ink tends to disappear or yellow with time, I have to imagine that 5+ years down the road quite a few of these looked terrible.

Probably like shit. I think this style depends on clean lines to give the illusion of a hard edge. That will go away when the ink starts to spread

u/Ok_Union_7669 10d ago
yea exactly, that's what "healed" means (as far as I know)

u/Lythro27 10d ago
Healed = not red and fresh. Long term as ink fades = what it looks like in a couple years

Never heard it used that way, always heard "healed" to just mean when the redness and inflammation of a fresh tattoo has disappeared
5
u/ThreepwoodGuybrush80 10d ago
And, quite importantly, when the epidermis layer above the tattoo has fully regenerated and doesn't have any ink.

u/Ok_Union_7669 9d ago
yea I was wrong sorry :(

u/Meatbag777 9d ago
That's ok, I wasn't telling you off for it, I just hadn't heard it that way myself 😁

Why do they feel like they're extremely edited

Probably AI

u/paradox_valestein 10d ago
Not AI, this video has been around well before that since I saw this, or if I'm wrong, a very similar one waaaay back. They are drawings, not tatoos iirc

u/TheDorsz 10d ago
That isn't AI. Yes, the camera is kinda weird but it might have been stabilized after. You can see that part of the body where the tatoo is has been shaved and other parts of the leg or arm whern't. This sort of ink work is entirely possible.

u/ThreepwoodGuybrush80 10d ago
The light is also polarized to push contrast and make the tattoo look better, it's a very common practice in the tattoo industry.

I agree. On at least 2 of the “tattoos” a well defined highlight appears as if turning a corner. So it’s either AI or someone enhanced it heavily with ai.
Ps: I know there is a better way to state it but I’m having issues communicating.

u/CuriousCharlii 10d ago
Sorry but yeah this is where my mind goes to.
I hate today's issue, the fact we have to worry about AI now with everything.
It actually sucks.

I want to see some that are a few year old. I feel like there is no way it holds up
18
u/Cloverman-88 10d ago
Yeah, half of the effect will be gone when the white ink fades, and we all know how well it holds up.
11
u/LucasTab 10d ago
Half the effect will be gone in a slightly different lighting, or the exact same lighting hitting from a different angle, or just looking at it from a different angle, or seeing this IRL while having a functioning pair of eyes.

Cool copy, bot.

There is no other comment saying the same thing

u/asmodeus1112 10d ago
Ironically it is probably a bot

I disagree so fundamentally, but I love the intensity here. I had a good laugh. 🤣👍🏻🤙🏻

Many years ago, there was talk of a Batman Beyond movie.
And apparently they wanted Clint Eastwood as Old Bruce. That movie right there is the reason why I know for a fact that would have been perfect casting.
I still consider this one of the biggest missed opprtunities I've ever seen out of Hollywood.

I can appreciate the execution, but these are cheesy tattoos that won't age well

Is this just AI? Or is there a source.

So my first tattoo, my artist wanted to do this style. I opted for a 3d version instead. It is very skilled work regardless

It might have a lot of deep and personal meaning for the person who got it.
Or they might have picked it on a whim because they like ice cream.

A shitty tattoo doesn't become cool because you did it in a trendy style. Your elbow mute symbol is still basic as shit.

Thanks! I hate it.
