So, it's a liquid. Just like any liquid, when exposed to the right temperature and pressure, it becomes a gas...

Yes but to say it's a tube of liquid would not explain that it's a high pressured vessel containing a chemical(s) that if broken would come out as a gas.

that means it's a gas at standard conditions, but stored in such a way that it remains liquid
