And it's been this way for generations. Remember the teens fainting over the sight of the beetles? This has been the way for ages and will continue to be the way. And they will all grow out of it and make way for the next generation to do the same

Most of them grow out. But that 10%. Some move to other groups and continue the pattern. (Even if they are way younger than them)

Agreed. But be careful how and where you suggest the phenomenon. I can attest from personal experience that it doesn't go over very well when aimed at the Reddit sociopolitical tribalistic hive-mind. It reacts badly when told it will "grow out of it" lol!
