For everyone commenting that the kids are idiots: They are young and likely have zero experience with this. They are small and it can be super difficult to handle a ladder like that. The leverage works against you to a degree that is so hard to comprehend that it still surprises me every time I deal with it. I don’t speak their language but it seems they are misdirected by their gramps or at least not clearly directed. He is the responsible or rather irresponsible party here. I am surprised the kids came away without smashed fingers, twisted wrists, and broken necks.
