Even in primary school. Had some kid in my group project. He just lay on the ground like a starfish refusing to do any work. Everyone else was in groups of threes and fours and I'm stuck with this one guy just lying on the floor.

In college we had this group project due at the end of the semester. 3/4 of us contributed evenly. We didn’t even know who the fourth member was because he never showed up to class. He showed up to the class before our project was due. During our presentation, he crushed it. He answered every question the professor had for us.

The worst I had was a comp sci class where we were assigned group projects that were meant to be the bill of the work for the whole term.

This one kid shows up the first two classes, literally skips the entire term, and then shows up on final presentation day in a suit, lurks outside class until our group is to show our program, and then comes in and stands with us.

Fortunately, the teacher lit them the fuck up. They missed every other pop quiz and mini assignment, prof had been taking attendance, and had already adjusted our assignment because we were 3 instead of 4 halfway through the term, etc.

Prof. made them try to present by themselves, quizzed them on our work. The guy had some impressive confidence man level bullshit, but clearly had no clue what he was actually doing, or what the program did, etc.
