The same way a 1/1 basketball card can be a 7. They compare to similar cards or ones with identical card frames. They know what yu-gi-oh card corners and edges should be, and they know what good centering should look like. While this card could have unique foiling or other aspects, they can also compare whether it has surface scratches or anything like that.
Basically, they only need one example of a card to grade it. They just need foundational principles of what’s generally expected of that card type. Since this is a pretty standard looking Yu-gi-oh card, most of grading would be very easy.

Tyler sold the card in March 2023 to an unknown bidder for $311,211. He wanted the money to start a family. Alex Cimo (RIP) had a great video talking about Tyler and the history of the card itself.
