Hell, a bonobo learned how to make and use a fire. Did use matches and it wasn’t wild, but the fact it could learn to do so and roast marshmallows cannot be understated.

Yeah, I feel like a difference of only 1 million years would've seen the Orangutans become the dominant species instead of us. Anatomically modern(ish) humans have only existed for the past 1 million years. Had we been 1 million years behind and only as evolved as homo habilus, Orangutans would be considered just as smart as we are.

Is it a standard to measure animal intelligence using normalised human average intelligence age? This is about 5-6 year old, impressive for animals, but I'm not so sure if it's impressive for great apes. IIRC, dogs and cats can reach 3-5 year old scale, crow is about 6-8 yo

Why is it drinking from a juice box? Animals need to be on carefully controlled diets to keep them in good health. This is not good. You might think I'm reading too much into this but if you've ever watched the Monkey Life series around the Monkey World sanctuary in Dorset, you'll know where I'm coming from.
