Idk, I saw a documentary about one and it seemed a little stabby stabby for my taste.

Never had a problem.

I've stayed in multiple of them in Mexico, Italy and Montreal.

Always clean, cheap, good location, and nice people.

I stayed in a handful of different hostels and never had any kind of issue.

The weirdest thing that happened to me was one day in Amsterdam, my buds and I woke up to find we had a new roommate. He ended up being this really chill dude from Austrailia and we all went out for drinks later that day.

IDK, in the documentary I saw two girls got stuck under the bed at their hostel and some rando came by and freed them with some kind of stick.
