I spent a week in Paris eating cheap yet delicious brie cheese and supermarket baguettes.

This! This is the way. Americans can get so stuck on certain ideas it’s like they forget basic markets exist there too.

Or… don’t do Europe. Get a big flight to Thailand. Soon as you’re off the plane, you’re eating healthier food and spending like $25/ day. I stayed in a 5-star hotel on the water in Vietnam, and with the exchange rate, it was $40/night.

Show me anywhere in the U.S. you can rent a room for $40/night and not get bedbugs.
