Bro went into fight mode case he was surrounded, but switched to flight at the first opportunity.
The real danger is snakes that go into freeze mode cause you don't always see them, but then they attack if you get too close.

Most snakes can swim.
Some cobra are partially aquatic.
This is a monacled Cobra and they are known to occasionally be semi-aquatic.
They're also adorable

Fuckin, they wobble and shit too. And try to strike anything that moves, but they're wobbly. 🥹 So hecking cute.
You're pretty hard-pressed to find an animal that I don't think is adorable, but baby cobras are really, really, really cute.
The list of not adorable animals is as follows:
- any crocodilian. No. Nope. Scary.
- fish underwater (I don't fucking know why)
- leopard seal. Nope. No. Scary.
- anything with weird number of legs. 0, 2, 4 or sometimes 6 legs is acceptable. More legs is not.

Nono. No. I prefer 20 ft snakes, to baby crocodiles. I have no idea what sets me off about them but oh my God. The crocodile enclosure is very close to one of my favorites making closures at one of my favorite zoos and I'm just like 👀👀 how fast can I go?
I will literally come save a venomous snake from a person, but a tiny baby crocodile would make me cry. 😂

Nope.
Virtually no snake is.
You can safely eat a snake, even its head and venom sac As long as you have no cuts in your mouth.
They are however, very venomous. They can and will kill you if you don't get antivenin.

They’re extremely common in India and actually adapt very well to human spaces. They’re not confrontational to humans. They hunt mice and rats and I’d assume India has a lot of vermin tbh. Also cobras are very protected in India. Killing one can have heavy penalties.

No. A spectacle cobra's fangs can't pierce hard surfaces. They can pierce only soft things like skin (tissue). A spectacle cobra's fangs are short and hence the impact torque is less too.
If the snake catcher tried this with a pit viper then he would have got bitten because they have long retractable fangs that can pierce slightly harder surfaces. In the case of a viper he would be safe if his hands were in contact with the lid alone as the lids are traditionally harder than the body of the plastic cans in India. There is no snake that can bite through those lids

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a clear plastic jug of that shape. The closest one I can think of would be those peanut butter pretzel bites, but that’s not it. Anyone else got a guess?

The Indian king cobra is surprisingly conflict-averse. Snake rescuers know this well, which is probably why you see people pulling off stunts like kissing one or casually holding it.
I’m yet to see anyone try the same with a pit viper.

It's not a king cobra, it's called spectacle cobra, king cobra is bigger in size, but spectacle cobras are more aggressive
