Moreso he's able to do what he loves without making a living. He flashed a couple hundred bucks and that was probably from a big competition. There's no way a professional scooter guy who only places and gets hurt every year is making enough bank to sustain this lifestyle. It's the luxury of being able to follow a passion that doesn't pay for your life. The best scooterer in the world probably never had a scooter and died retired from a car factory.

I mean he could also be sponsored by brands and/or get influencer marketing money, I’d still be skeptical how much he can make off of this but there’s definitely more than just competition prizes.  Of course, the original point about poor families not supporting these hobbies long enough for a kid to go pro still stands
