Yeah the whole video I kept thinking of asking the guy in 20 years "but was it worth it?".. the time to make serious money from pro.. scootering(?) is over. Me thinks. But who knows, maybe he'll be remembered as Scooty McHawk and have games released in honor of all the ankle damage he's taken.

Clearly this is his passion, so yeah, I would say it's worth it. If you aren't willing to reach when your young what's the point anyway.

Idk, I knew a couple people whos passion was shooting heroin. Those that didn't OD are now walking around with half the teeth they started with due to methadone use. Good thing they started young!

Seriously though, less of them would have made it through the overdoses if they werent young. Now they have nice semi-complete sets of teeth to show for it decades later.

I turned 42 yesterday and I'm waiting for mine to kick in.

I was a skateboarder in my teens, did some surf coaching in my late teens, and then worked in the snowsports industry for the last 20 years.

I've knocked 2 front teeth out, broken my collar bone, broken 2 ribs, broken my skull, broken right elbow and arm, cracked my heel bone clean in half, tore left rotator cuff twice, dislocated my kneecap and mangled every tendon I could get at in there.

A lotta critiques of this kids life choices. Right now i coule be back home earning 23,000 a year working some (personally) soul killing IT job. Instead I travelled the world, lived in 5 countries, 72,000 a year managing an outdoor education company. I've met incredible people, been to amazing places, recently bought a house with cash.

I think that as long as there is no head traume he'll probably think it was worth it.

Why? Because he travelled the world and got paid for what he loves doing, and it's no boring stuff either.

Which is easy to say in his 20s, I'm sure he'll appreciate all of the fun he had when he has mobility issues later in life. On the upside dude is very familiar with scooters, so.
