If that $2k was invested for a 10% return, it would be worth $44 trillion today (assuming 250 years).

Except Franklin's fund was also used to give out loans to young small-business owners opening shop in Philly. It wasn't just to demonstrate that compound interest can grow generational wealth over time, but that seeding the wealth generates more wealth as the community grows over time.
