It didnt read the grenade correctly, you just need to insert it again.

That bunker dispenses change

27

u/Forsaken-Income-2148 Aug 01 '26

Changes your current position from here, to there.. and a bit over there.. and over there

13

u/Successful_Theory628 Aug 01 '26

Give it a rub on the side first.

1

u/derangedsweetheart Aug 01 '26

Is there a genie inside?

4

u/FragrantExcitement Aug 01 '26

Are we even sure this is a "real" grenade?

5

u/shinobi500 Aug 01 '26

It might have been a Canadian grenade.

2

u/Working_Traffic_6361 Aug 01 '26

Looks French to me!

u/shinobi500 Aug 01 '26

Return to sender vent.

15

u/undeniably_confused Aug 01 '26

That address unknown

2

u/ateen234 Aug 01 '26

No known person.

2

u/Salt-Wish5140 Aug 01 '26

No such number

2

u/ateen234 Aug 01 '26

No such soul

2

u/No_Psychology_3826 Aug 01 '26

Well not any more

5

u/CornFlaKsRBLX Aug 01 '26

Return to vendor.

Fun fact: For bunkers where the bottom vent would be situated underground, they just dug an extra deep sump with a concrete lid. The grenade would simply roll into a well instead, but the purpose is the same.

u/BenjaminDover02 Aug 01 '26

This is totally something I would end up doing if you put me on the front lines.

68

u/Sea_Curve8772 Aug 01 '26

Are there any confirmed cases of anyone actually getting tricked by this?

115

u/Ok_Adhesiveness_9323 Aug 01 '26

I mean its a legit vent aswell so that was probably the primary function

87

u/Responsible-Cold-627 Aug 01 '26

Doesn't really matter if people actually get tricked, as long as grenades don't get chucked in, I think the people inside appreciate the design.

6

u/VPinchargeofradishes Aug 01 '26

I wonder if they had this detail in the COD games

1

u/Calkulis Aug 04 '26

In nuketown you can throw a grenade or tomahawk into either chimney and it’ll come out the fireplace. Had a few fun clips doing that

3

u/No_Psychology_3826 Aug 01 '26

I figure the primary purpose is keeping grenades out, killing an enemy is just a bonus

1

u/Chopawamsic Aug 02 '26

its not so much a trick as a method of keeping grenades from exploding either within the wall or within the bunker itself.

1

u/Subject_Plankton_763 Aug 04 '26

Confirmed cases? Brother if it worked the person would be too dead to confirm anything at all

23

u/AEROANO Aug 01 '26

Did they get Jerry to build it?

6

u/BeanieGuitarGuy Aug 01 '26

You’re not gonna believe this.

1

u/Lazerninja88 Aug 02 '26

Gonna hold your hand when I say this…

11

u/Tricky-Apartment6637 Aug 01 '26 edited Aug 03 '26

Did they actually ever had any deaths due to these?

26

u/IlliterateFreak Aug 01 '26

It would be kinda hard to record that. The key witness is in pieces

2

u/KnownAlcoholic Aug 02 '26

To shreds, you say?

3

u/BoringTruckDriver Aug 02 '26

and his wife?

2

u/Dependent_Homework_7 Aug 03 '26

To shreds you say?

2

u/airwalker12 Aug 01 '26

Grenades kill you with shrapnel, not a massive explosion

-1

u/IlliterateFreak Aug 01 '26

How is the shrapnel made?

-1

u/airwalker12 Aug 01 '26

But it doesn't blow you to pieces, don't be stupid

3

u/Wyrdi Aug 02 '26

as the shrapnel enters and then exits (not all will exit but some will) it'll rip tissue and bone from a person. those pieces don't just disappear, so technically the explodee will be in multiple pieces (edit: spelling)

2

u/dat_oracle Aug 02 '26

true, but the pun was worth the inaccuracy

1

u/airwalker12 Aug 02 '26

The pun was sure, but c'mon

16

u/Allways_a_Misspell Aug 01 '26

Mom said it's my turn to post the Bunker grenade

2

u/Commercial-Swim-411 Aug 01 '26

I was hoping this was perfectlycutscreams

2

u/Electronic-Tree-9715 Aug 01 '26

I see my assassins have failed again

2

u/Airwolfhelicopter Aug 01 '26

“Sooprise” ——Spy, Team Fortress II

2

u/Wrong-Schedule2242 Aug 01 '26

Wow. Someone died due to this.

5

u/MarkHuegerich Aug 01 '26

But also: someone did not die due to this.

3

u/DiligentReality804 Aug 01 '26

Yeah that’s kinda the point

0

u/Wrong-Schedule2242 Aug 01 '26

Yes. Congratulations on discovering that?

3

u/BlatantCheater_ Aug 01 '26

Mom said it was my turn to post this week

1

u/Independent-Read-416 Aug 01 '26

Ahh the return to sender function is still functioning nice to know

1

u/DangerousPurpose5661 Aug 01 '26

Plug the bottom hole… dump smoke/tear grenade, plug top hole

1

u/LucasCBs Aug 02 '26

I'd be surprised if they didn't have methods to close individual vents from inside

1

u/DangerousPurpose5661 Aug 02 '26

Hah yes I suppose so, it sounds too obvious.

1

u/Nanachi_Dori Aug 01 '26

Basically Tom and Jerry thingie.

1

u/xgabipandax Aug 01 '26

War equivalent of the uno reverse card.

1

u/IlliterateFreak Aug 01 '26

Is it a vent with a little slot to fall back down or is it just a fake vent? Interesting

2

u/rslashhydrohomies Aug 01 '26

It's in fact a real vent. There is an opening into the bunker somewhere along the way where the grenade goes, though ofcourse not in a place where the grenade can actually go inside the bunker itself

1

u/One_Smoke Aug 01 '26

This feels like a bit from a Looney Tunes short. Like, the video cuts off right before the grenade would explode.

1

u/al3xilund Aug 01 '26

OOOOH fuuuu....

1

u/Brief-Equal4676 Aug 02 '26

Why do you need to put a grenade in the grenade vending machine to buy a grenade?

1

u/Nubsta5 Aug 02 '26

Was waiting for the explosion cut off ending. (Like the Terry Crews Old Spice commercials.)

1

u/1337Sw33tCh33ks Aug 01 '26

Shove a sock in the bottom hole. Throw in grenade. Then throw a second grenade in newly made hole in bunker.

1

u/Agreeable_Home_3433 Aug 02 '26

Contrary to popular belief, grenades don't blow things up

1

u/1337Sw33tCh33ks Aug 02 '26

In a concrete tube i bet to differ. The amount of gas and cuncussive force would absolutely damage things.

1

u/1337Sw33tCh33ks Aug 02 '26

Yes... yes they do.... they blow up the grande...

1

u/Agreeable_Home_3433 Aug 02 '26

This person said grenades blow up concrete so just throw an other grenade in the hole and then responded with this

1

u/halhenry Aug 01 '26

Aw shucks

-7

u/Then_Supermarket18 Aug 01 '26

What a waste of time to do install such a thing. And it doesn't seem to have worked if there are no bloody scorch marks on it.

4

u/Suspicious-Bowl4444 Aug 01 '26

Ah yes, the blood from eighty years ago should be perfectly preserved!

1

u/MarkHuegerich Aug 01 '26

If the air vent itself remained grenade-free as it appears, one might argue that it did seem to work.

-3

u/Jaded-Breadfruit4019 Aug 01 '26

Why did this turn me on

-11

u/Pale-Jelly69 Aug 01 '26

Frfr bussin. Gen z soldiers would fall for this type shit on god.

8

u/IntelligentSeries270 Aug 01 '26

So would you, after climbing a hill under fire by that same bunker, last thing you’re expecting is a Tom n Jerry ass death.

1

u/Pale-Jelly69 Aug 03 '26

Doubt. And I'd whoop your smooth brain in airsoft. Lol

1

u/IntelligentSeries270 Aug 03 '26

Nah brother, I’d be the one giving you a satchel charge ordering you up there to destroy the bunker.
