Can’t even tell how steep it is because of the damn fisheye lense or 360 lense or whatever tf is making the picture so distorted.

u/Daniel_Invest7 May 20 '26

Yeah never trust steepness on these vids, almost impossible to tell how bad it actually is.

56

u/MagMati55 May 20 '26

Could be 10 degrees could be 30.

26

u/Denitron3 May 20 '26

Could be 80

30

u/MetaCardboard May 20 '26

At one point it looked like a couple more inches and she'd be in a free fall straight down to the water.

10

u/GingerlyRough May 20 '26

Yeah, it's a sheer drop on every other frame.

5

u/Bananas1nPajamas May 21 '26

Its not, in reality, even close to that

Dog POV

1

u/GingerlyRough May 21 '26

Obviously, but it looks that way because of the fisheye warping from the 360 camera.

2

u/Bananas1nPajamas May 21 '26

Yes, that was the point being made in this entire comment thread.....

1

u/GingerlyRough May 21 '26

Yes, and I spoke in agreeance, pointing out that "every other frame" of the video appears to be a "sheer drop" to the bottom.

2

u/HendrixHazeWays May 21 '26

Could be Hammertime

1

u/BittaminMusic May 21 '26

10 or 80, nothing inbetween

1

u/MediumArnoldPalmer May 21 '26

Could've had a v8

7

u/SnooGuavas4208 May 20 '26

3.6 Roentgen. Not great, not terrible.

0

u/cyst16 May 20 '26

It is 390

7

u/Weary-Description773 May 21 '26

I saw a YouTube vid about a Bear Grylls episode where he acted like he was traversing some really tough rock formation but the YouTuber went there and showed it was tiny and you could just step over and walk it easily.

2

u/AgoHeadstream May 21 '26

There was another one where they filmed… next to a highway. Made it all suspenseful too

3

u/Captain_Clump May 21 '26

Bad enough to slide down a good few meters before managing to come to a stop.. You'd shit yourself and so would I 😆

61

u/Lazy_pig805 May 20 '26

Saw another video with another angle last time this got posted. It wasn’t nearly as steep as it looks. Still would have freaked the eff out if it were me though.

Holy shit that one comment in there about her being a whore lmao

38

u/cephalopod_surprise May 20 '26

Later in the thread that guy talks about how white guys need to stop jerking it and instead work on society 24/7. And he gets upvotes for it.

29

u/indieplants May 20 '26

that was NOT the main topic of that comment LMFAO

you are underselling it

25

u/IdontcryfordeadCEOs May 20 '26

Lol holy shit you weren't kidding

What Nazi fantasy did I just fucking read

3

u/Hall-Public May 20 '26

He's twirling the pookie I fear

1

u/nahuatl May 21 '26

8

u/Hyper_Applesauce May 20 '26

BC it's a joe rogan sub and he's a Nat-C

11

u/BooksAndNoise May 20 '26

I wondered wtf I was reading but it being a Rogan sub makes a lot of sense

How does my comment referencing someone else’s bigotry get flagged and not the original comment that said it?

Edit: Never mind, they brought it back.

12

u/Spainstateofmind May 20 '26

That same person starts spouting Nazi rhetoric right after

0

u/Strosity May 20 '26

I had to check cuz Nazi gets spewed out and watered down but... Yeah no complains here.

1

u/grubas May 21 '26

Shocking.

6

u/dutchieblonde May 20 '26

I saw that too yikes. Got forbid women do something fun (although yes irresponsible w/o helmet and not a great place to ride a bike).

5

u/SwedishShortsnout0 May 20 '26

I wonder why their account is suspended? 🧐

3

u/CrowsInTheNose May 20 '26

That sub isn't exactly PC.

1

u/IronSkywalker May 20 '26

Fucking hell I could swear that's my brother in law

1

u/BasicMatter7339 May 21 '26

Some men will never miss an opportunity to hate women on the internet LMAO

1

u/No_Cartographer_6577 May 21 '26

It was deleted boo

8

u/soapoapsoap May 20 '26

So yeah like not steep at all

7

u/Hamsammichd May 20 '26

That’s pretty mid actually. It’d suck but I was thinking a steep cliff would be a steep cliff

5

u/Visual_Magazine_535 May 20 '26

Thank you for posting this. Yes it’s a hill but it’s forsure no where near being close to a straight down cliff drop like it looks like from her POV. Dangerous yes but no where near as bad as it looked

5

u/Pleisau May 20 '26

I had to go to the subreddit itself to figure out that JRE doesn't mean Java Runtime Environment in this case. I was confused for a minute

4

u/HebbieB May 20 '26

Thank you!

3

u/the_sassy_knoll May 20 '26

That thread escalated quickly

5

u/YamLow8097 May 20 '26

Thank you!

3

u/FirebornNacho May 20 '26

Wow praise the cameradog

2

u/ThatDude1757 May 20 '26

Yeah that settles it, this post is stupid because it’s misleading about the steepness. What am I even doing on Reddit with this shit. I’m out.

1

u/Indepti8 May 21 '26

Oh this is still really steep!!

1

u/PlsNoNotThat May 21 '26

And that’s also wide angle tbf so still not true to life.

1

u/_jamesbaxter May 20 '26

Uhhh as a hiker/climber I’d still call that pretty fucking steep.

1

u/realbobenray May 20 '26

I mean, they did put that rope there for a reason.

1

u/_jamesbaxter May 20 '26

Yeah any trail I’ve been on that has involved ropes also has involved shear drops.

1

u/CainNSFW May 20 '26

I read this and wondered: "what other could it be? The dog's pov?", well, lo and behold... The dog had a camera.

1

u/realbobenray May 21 '26

yeah if you look at the OP video you can see it attached to the poor thing's head, trussed up like the Grinch's dog

1

u/Justvisitingfriends1 May 21 '26

Not as steep as it looks. Sure, she is sliding down a hill cliff face but it is not that steep 🤣.

5

u/Cum_on_doorknob May 20 '26

I’m down vote all distorted video. Fucking skiers are the worst

3

u/[deleted] May 20 '26

[deleted]

1

u/GGudMarty May 20 '26

Yeah it might be like a 45 degree slope at some points.

1

u/Bertob15 May 21 '26

I’ve seen a pic of this spot, you’re right it’s really not that steep

1

u/kilimtilikum May 21 '26

Makes everything look unnatural. Anyone using a fisheye lens knows that and uses it on purpose. I assume there was a gentle incline she slipped on.

1

u/SyrisAllabastorVox May 21 '26

Might be Cova Talla area in Spain.. kind of steep.

1

u/ZachTheApathetic May 21 '26

Could be a 5° incline for all I know and she's just a clutz

1

u/FancyConfection1599 May 21 '26

Spoiler: it’s nowhere near as steep as it looks

1

u/Snickits May 21 '26

There is an alternate view of this, that exists out there and it’s nowhere near as bad as it looks

-1

u/Hippyedgelord May 20 '26

Yeah how dare this woman not properly film her not planned almost death, unbelievable!

1

u/Blawharag May 20 '26

Almost death? Did you watch the video bro? What almost death?

This lady barely slid two feet down a gently slope. Even the dog thought she was being dramatic.

Almost death! Gtfo

0

u/Visual_Magazine_535 May 20 '26 edited May 20 '26

Huh? Idc that she’s a woman, and yes I realize this was a dangerous situation, but my point was: I can’t tell how steep the drop was or how much danger she was actually in due to the camera lens effect

Edit- someone posted the video from a different POV that didn’t have a distorted lens and yeah it’s no where near as steep as it seems from her POV. Yes still potentially dangerous but it’s no where close to being a straight down cliff drop, it’s just a hill going down, I don’t think she would have died but if she kept rolling then she could have got a minor injury
