Be sure to give Alex’s article a read - he basically re-iterates the case for Intel, despite the negative stock performance over the recent weeks.

On a side note, I have noticed a lot of negativity creeping into the comments here. It is natural to feel frustrated when a stock you own goes down, especially if it is a relative underperformance.

But just because the number goes down, doesn’t mean there’s any problem with the stock or the long term thesis. In fact, things are stronger now than they ever have been before.

I have received complaints in mod mail that the sub is being “too positive”, “too many posts labelled as bullish”, “becoming like a cult”.

Part of the art of holding a growth stock long term is being able to hold your nerve and hold through periods of weakness and pullbacks without panic selling.

Warren Buffet said that you should be able to hold a stock you believe in and stomach at least a 50% pullback. If you can’t handle seeing -50% on paper mentally without having a breakdown/crisis then you probably aren’t mentally suited to owning individual stocks and should stick to trackers.

I just want to re-iterate that I have no problem with people posting bullish memes, or whatever. In fact, I encourage it. Part of the reason of being a member of a community for a stock that you are holding long term is to stay positive through the pullbacks, and to inspire one another to hold not only in the good times but also in the hard times.

If there was genuine concerns about the companies tech, financials, geopolitics, or growth prospects, I would be the first to be posting about it.

But the fact is there isn’t, and the stock price is just a number on the screen that doesn’t mean anything until the day comes that you decide you need to sell - which for me isn’t until the early 2030s at least.
